I remember plenty of people on the GL boards complaining about the over-saturation of the marketing and calling into question the quality of the film as a result of it.

Really because I remember people just not liking the footage they saw. (I was one of the few holdouts until the bad reviews came about)

I mean I thought that The Amazing Spider-Man was way overpromoted but I don't remember thinking that about GL.

Green Lantern's promotion wasn't over the top and BB pulled in disappointing numbers.

Anyway, I can't wait to see how Adams is going to portray the character.

Check the costs of Green Lanterns promotional costs.....it was in the 100 Million dollar neighborhood.

And BB came on after what exactly? Glowing reviews and strong WOM. Hence, stronger DVD sales than expected.

At this point, the WB is acting like a studio that doesn't have to release something new every other day because they likely are very confident in their product.

Not that we've gotten a better look at the photo, I can safely say that I spoke too soon. Upon closer inspection, they don't look quite as short as I thought.

I wasn't a fan of him having them in the first place...

I hope that insider who claimed that their romance in the movie was weak was lying.

Honestly, as long as it doesn't drag the film down as a whole and is believable, I don't really care if it's the "weak link."

Listen, I'm a big girl and have a decent amount of smarts, I expected a backlash after all my rants.

People have a right to not like them. I don't like a lot of stuff people say in here.

Why would I tell someone to hold back from criticizing me when I'd criticize them in a hot minute?
