Just curious with all of this talk about 3D, will some of you see MOS In IMax 3D or just Imax?
right now, Just Imax or 2D , not too many Imax theatres near me .
Unlike, say, TDK or TDKR (sections of which were actually filmed in IMAX), MOS will be converted (to so-called “LieMax”). So travelling a great distance to see the movie in this format might not be worth it.

Really don't know. I'll worry about it once I find out if I have a choice - which I very much doubt I will, since I plan to see a midnight veiwing.

I'll definitely see it in 3D, but I'm going 2D the first time.

I'm not a huge fan of 3D, but if I hear good things about Mos's 3D, I might check it out.

Well even though I'm not a fan of 3D one of the many times I go see MOS will be in 3D just for the experience. Like I said before though 3D doesn't usually add anything to the experience for me but I'm fine with films been in 3D just so long as we get a 2D option.

I'm 50/50 about it. Good 3D can elevate the experience somewhat and crummy 3D can ruin it. It'll definitely help the concept when we dont need the glasses anymore.

If the 3D is done probably, it can really add something awesome! And even though MOS wasn't filmed in 3D , a post conversion can still be done very very effectively. Cameron has already proved this with Titanic! I have that 3D release at home, and it's just as good 3D as seen in Avatar. Anyways! If the 3D is done good in MOS, I think that seeing Superman fly in 3D action will be sooo badass!

The best experience I've had with 3D is with my brothers home system, Tangled 3D Blu-Ray looks great. Up until then cinema 3D was a gimmick for me, but after seeing it like that I could see it wasn't just a way to add money onto tickets.

As for MoS, I'll be going for the earliest showing I can get tickets for, at the BFI Imax, London if I can. Not sure if that place does 3D showings or not.

So... the Man of Steel Twitter page tweeted something really weird and deleted the weirdness before I could even look at it all.

The post was simply

"#ReasonsWeStoppedTalking [image link]"

The image had some text on it, I only got to read the first part before it was yanked but I noticed the F-word...

Really weird...

Haha bizarre. Searching that hash tag leads to people saying why they stopped talking to people/friends etc.
Maybe the MoS twitter page was about to tweet '#ReasonsWeStoppedTalking Because we arn't revealing anything new, not even a measly promo pic until waaaay into April' ;)

Huh...the hell? The question is, which MOS twitter page, the official one ( https://***********/WBManofSteel ) or the fan page?

We find out that the whole movie was a fake.

I guarantee we'll be at the same screening :funny:

Haha yea the odds are probably quite good! It's a great venue, truly the only place I want to see this film for the first time. As for how long before a films release we can book tickets, I have no idea.

Didn't buy into the 3D thing until I saw Life of Pi. I almost feel like it was integral to the experience and that if I saw it again, I'd still prefer 3D.

I really don't think this will be the case with MOS. (not saying it won't be good in 3D, just saying it's not something I'd get excited about)

I've never been. I've never seen a film in IMAX before. I'm genuinely really excited about experiancing it on an IMAX screen :)

I was having a look just now and the first showing of Iron Man 3 is 00.01 (next one is an 11.30 am one on the same day) on Thurs 25th, when the UK release date on IMDB is the 26th! So I guess they do have early showings, fingers crossed something similar happens with MOS :D

Honestly, I was watching it again on my laptop without 3D the other day, and it still FELT like a 3D film :)

I was so shocked when my friends came out of the cinema saying they wished they'd not gone for 3D. Theirs was the muted colours argument, which I do understand, but it doesn't bother me at all.

Well I'll bite...got any more info or the source on the 10 minute IMAX press thing or just late night craziness. :oldrazz:

Also IMAX 3D for my viewing but then I'd manage you'll hard pressed to find a non-3D screening at least around my neck of the woods.

Never thought within 6 years I'd see 2 Superman movies in 3D on the big screen.
