^ Superman Returns was an okay film and a bad adaptation. Brandon was decent as Supes/Clark, Spacey was rather good, and Bodsworth was..too bland and too young. What wasn't a tribute to the past was a cheap gimmick to cause drama.

However, if a film like had been made in the eighties with that type of sensitivity, it would have been welcome. SR's a film that let its heart stand in the way of its brain. But at least it had a heart, unlike some films. It was way too long for its own good, and a bit more action couldn't have hurt.

However, it attempted to address the importance of a "savior" in Metropolis. As an allegory/romance, it's rather good. As a satisfying reboot, it's not.

But it has WAY too much hate going towards it.

Spacey was not bad, but sometimes it felt like he watched the Joker parts from Burton's Batman way too many times. Brandopher Rouve as both Clark and Superman just felt way too stiff to me, and I've said the same thing about Tom Welling in Smallville before, but I actually prefer his take on the character over SR. Kate Bosworth as Lois Lame... Meh.

Here's to hoping. It's time for MOS as STID has released stills and an awesome trailer. IM3 is also rising as the reveal of Pepper in the suit was shown in the new tv spot. IM3 has 4 tv spots already, can you believe that? Come on WB, release something, but I wouldn't be surprised if there is nothing because it seems like they're working hard on 42 marketing.

The official MoS FB page just posted an image grabbed from the first trailer of Supes in handcuffs, the WB page then shared it as well. I wonder if that means the page is warming us up before posting something new soon...

Edit. Saying that, I don't think its grabbed from the trailer itself, this picture is much lighter then the scene in the trailer. We've seen it before, but this is the clearest it's been so far.

Yea hes cocky and wealthy. But thats what audiences want to see. Like batman, he's also a cool character. I really hope the story they tell brings Supes to a cool leve,l so he's not seen as this goody 2 shoe.
