All Things Superman: An Open Discussion - Part 4

That would be a bizarre plan, since that's Cavill's natural real life hairstyle.

I thought the hair debates on the Amazing Spider-Man forum were bad, this one actually gets a thread.

While I'm not as bothered by the hair as some, I think they should trim the hair a little and loosen it up and instead of the combed slicked back look. The Jim Lee or Garcia-Lopez type is what I'm thinking.

If those pics from yesterday is what Cavill's hair will look like, I'm not liking it a whole lot. It feels almost caricature like he belongs in the '60s or on Mad Men.

His hair doesn't look like it's "set" if you will. That is, it looks like it could be styled to be loose, so it will move, and his hair may just look more wind blown/conforming to the situation.

Also, this is the first pic, though it looks like it could be from a scene, it also could have been entirely staged specifically for this publicity still.

The reason I mention this is because it may not be 100% final. Remember the first pic of Spider-man (Raimi's films)? There was no webbing on his fingers. Similarly, even in the first teaser they made, not the one with the twin towers, but before that, I don't think it was actually officially released mind you, but there were quite a few differences. Different eye shapes, mechanical web shooters, etc.

Any who, this is probably 99% what we will see on the screen, maybe even 100%, but it is possible there will be/may already have been a few minor tweaks since this shot.

Suit=Great!
Hair= receding and disappointing.

Nite-Owl's costume was different in it's first promotional image compared to the final product. So it's possible.

Hair looks perfect!

Like I said, the classic S-Curl looks too boyscout-like:

Can't take it seriously.

Men with curly hair don't look tough.

bull.... :doh:

I like Alyn. I like Reeves. I like Reeve. I like Daly. I like Routh. I'm sure I'll like Cavill. It's possible to like them all.

So who was the lame mod that took away my Superman hair thread, then let someone else make a new one? :rolleyes:

Interesting that a poster who "just" signed up in July would know about a project I was part of 3 years ago. :o

Depends who you are I guess.

I'm a reasonable fanboy, who would love to see corrupt businessman/brilliant scientist Lex done justice on big screen for once. But apart from the ridiculous Donnerverse "I'm the greatest criminal mind of our times" crook, I'm totally open to interpretation on the character. Up until today I still believed Chris Meloni was set to play General Lex Luthor and was fine with that, so I'm this kind of fanboy. :D

Well it wasn't me, but I would have closed yours and this new one because there is no need for a hair thread. :o

I disagree as the hair issue has been a growing issue on the net. Look around.

I just think that mod could step forward and explain why they closed my existing thread, then let another one stay open. Just don't appreciate the treatment.

For those who are wondering, JJ Abrams' Lex was
an MIB-like FBI agent who turned out to be a kryptonian.
After the obvious uproar, if I'm not mistaken, a later draft portrayed him as
a struggling salesman who finds kryptonian technology and from that discovery builds his LexCorp empire.

Is Superman's hair trending on Twitter?

Doesn't really matter what you want or think to be honest. I'm not sure why you think you deserve some kind of explanation?

If you were going to be rude and arrogant, I'd rather you didn't respond at all.

Made a thread first. Got taken away. Then someone made the same thread later. It stays and I am yelled at for complaining about it. :dry:

Anyone would want to know why something like that happened to them. :confused:
