Who's gonna stick Zod and Faora in the Phantom Zone then? :p

I've been curious if they are going to use this angle or the one where they are on a space mission at the time of Krypton's explosion.....

Most likely the Phantom Zone b/c its just the 2 of them?

I hope they come up with something a little more interesting than "hey here's two Kryptonian criminals that somehow made it to Earth." It could be that they're just out searching for remnants of their planet, wondering if they're the only ones left. And when they reach earth, they want to remake it in Krypton's image, which ultimately creates conflict with the military and Superman. In that sense, it's not just a black and white good guys vs. bad guys between Zod and Clark. Clark would be initially intrigued by his fellow kind and the conflict could gradually develop. They tried to take this approach in Smallville, but it just became such a muddled up mess.

Most likely, Zod and his army will fight on Krypton. Zod and Faora get captured, imprisoned in the Phantom Zone by Jor-El. The war continues regardless, and Jor-El sends Kal-El off to Earth to escape when Zod's army hunt him down for revenge.

We dont have to see Krypton explode to know its dead.

Could end up with a Kryptonian invasion on Earth when Zod and Faora escape the Phantom Zone, and use the Fortress to contact his last surviving army members. Leading the entire US military to battle Zod's army, and Superman to battle Zod himself.

Beginning where Jor-El and Krypton left off!

really did not know which discussion to post this in. but i have been going through some of Gregory Zonsius's photos and i found something really neat. The film working name "Autumn Frost" used in badges for passes but look at the font.

Nice! It's the same font they use for the Action Comics logo!

From a casting call headline on supermanhomepage.com
"In the pantheon of superheroes, Superman is the most recognized and revered character of all time. Clark Kent/Kal-El (Cavill) is a young twentysomething journalist who feels alienated by powers beyond anyone's imagination. Transported to Earth years ago from Krypton, an advanced alien planet, Clark struggles with the ultimate question - Why am I here? Shaped by the values of his adoptive parents Martha (Lane) and Jonathan Kent (Costner), Clark soon discovers that having super abilities means making very difficult decisions. But when the world needs stability the most, it comes under attack. Will his abilities be used to maintain peace or ultimately used to divide and conquer? Clark must become the hero known as "Superman," not only to shine as the world's last beacon of hope but to protect the ones he loves."

Sounds like Superman Earth One.
Now is it just me.....or does it seem that Krypton does not blow up in this version of the classic tale? Is Clark/Superman some sleeper agent sent by Zod years ago in an attempt to conquer Earth in the future?
I know that's not what it says in the story summary but I'm basing these thoughts on what isn't said.

It's Superman. Of course Krypton blew up.

I guess the New Krypton storyline (which Cavill himself said he had read and enjoyed) also had some influence on all of this.

Sounds like on Smallville when Clark thinks he was sent to Earth to rule over humans.

Reading that gave me chills lol
I thought it was an old piece that was circling the net long ago when I saw the first line.

I put the spoiler tags on that MOS story synopsis above, so no one will get offended.
Usually, Clark is described as the survivor from a destroyed alien civilization. Not so here.
It seems to me that it STRONGLY implies that Krypton was not destroyed in this version and it is simply an advanced civilization from which Clark was "transported" from.
Since in this version, Clark must wrestle with either saving humanity or "divide and conquer", I think this may mean that he was sent to earth as some sort of sleeper agent in order to prepare it for invasion.
This explains why Zod and Faora would have arrived in Smallville.
For all we know, Zod and Faora imprisoned Jor El and Lara on Krypton and are attempting to manipulate his son (a la Chris in Last Son)...
Hmmm....

I was joking with that last comment. You didn't have to spoiler tag that. Krypton's days are numbers in every iteration of Superman. Hence...his origin. Besides we've already seen variations of that plot description before, so it's not entirely new.

Guess when you're too busy crying about not getting set visits (unlike say...an adult or someone professional), you don't pay attention to the little details.

Sorry, I saw spoiler tags on his comment so I thought it would be hidden.

EDIT: Oh you were kidding lol

Could be that Zod and Faora were out on a space mission while the planet exploded---him being a General and all.The synopsis leads me to believe that out of a feeling of alienation, Clark will turn to Zod and Faora, possibly, as they are his own kind. They decide that humans are beneath Kryptonians and that they should conquer them. Clark must choose....his own kind, or the humans who he has lived amongst since birth.

I feel like Krypton is still blow'd up.

I heart speculating.
