There was an interesting discussion about "Man Of Steel" on 4chan (of all places). However, the thread quickly got derailed due to discussion about TDK and TDKR:

One interesting point is that someone said "The reason audiences were forgiving of Marvel studios movies was that they knew they had to sit through a bad ending for Thor or Captain America because they knew that Avengers was coming".
Does anyone else think that WB should announce their plans so that the audience knows what the endgame is (although i doubt WB knows what the endgame is at this point)

Maybe WB feel they have a killer film which won't need bells and whistles about Justice League to increase interest and acceptance of the film by an audience when they leave. I certainly hope so.

The Justice League stuff should simply be a nice treat if it is included in some form. Man of Steel should sell on it's own and lead to another film hopefully. I hope they don't do something JUST to do it. Make Superman special again ... THEN worry about the others, because if Batman & Superman aren't resonating with the people, the rest of the crew doesn't matter.

I find it interesting that they think Thor or the First Avenger had bad endings.

I agree, I really really hope MoS puts Superman back on the map again. The public perception really needs to change.

In almost every conversation I have with any of my friends about MoS, at some point, the other person will say "I want to watch it, but Superman Returns was not a good movie". I do explain to them that it is a reboot and to check out the trailer following which they say "Ya, this looks good". As far as the general public (at least the people I know) are concerned, the biggest roadblock to them watching "Man of Steel" is "Superman Returns".

I agree ... I felt both had solid endings and were good films. Now Iron Man 2 ... that kind of sucked IMO.

Marvel and DC seem to look at the world of comic films in two different ways, both can be great, but comparing them might not be the best thing to do.

Again, I just want this film to be great, that's all I care about. We deserve a new classic Superman film.

Is there a working link?

Make that a 5 person riot. Sure, they haven't explicitly promised a trailer, but it has heavily implied by everything WB has been doing the last week.

I hope we see Faora in the next trailer, she needs to be seen finally :D

Oh and what are the chances of Tor-An and Dev-Em having a small appearance :D

I will lose my **** Tomorrow, I'm really think this trailer is going to be crazy on so many levels.

Who is Dev-Em? Who do we know about him or her? I must have missed that.

In regards to CinemaCon, tonight they screened 18 minutes of footage for Star Trek with the cast there along with footage for World War Z that was introduced by Pitt.

Tomorrow, or err later today technically, should be interesting. Trailer and possible finished footage of the movie screened. :woot:

Oh so I went to the Oblivion early screening in IMAX and there was no MoS trailer. Oblivion was incredible btw, definitely see it on the big screen.

It's very dark isn't it? Can't wait to see this Superman's pissed off side. Comicbook.com has sources that report a [BLACKOUT]fight scene between Superman and Zod in which Supes emerges from a pile of skulls. Dude.[/BLACKOUT]

Yeah that was shown very briefly in the Comic con trailer last year, I wonder how that's gonna work. It's gonna be a nice visual treat.

Damn, the Zod spot is all over the place. I saw it on ABC when watching Kimmel, then switched over to CBS to see who was on Letterman, and it showed up there too. Within about a half-hour from each other. Crazy, I thought that would be a one-time-only kind of spot. But I geek out a little every time I see it, so I'm not complaining. :D
