I'm still new here so ive never been a member when a new trailer hit. Cant wait to see the madness that follows. This may be my most anticipated trailer of all time, and this is coming from a guy who lost many hours sleep waiting on the TDK trailer which was previously my most anticipated. Is it really going to be 3 minuets long?

Yep been confirmed think its actually 3 mins 5 seconds

You guys need to read the nonsense article.....

The release date for Superman's latest adventure is now approximately just two months away, and the anticipation and hype surrounding it isn't what it should be.
Zack Snyder, Christopher Nolan and David S. Goyer's plan to conceal plot details for 'Man of Steel' have left audiences in the dark about what its content will be, so every ounce of information they can pick up is being devoured intensely.
It's lucky then a new feature on the film by Entertainment Weekly has shed a little more light on what we can expect from the latest incarnation.
Firstly, Snyder has confirmed that 'Man of Steel' won't feature any kryptonite in it at all, as the director believes that it has turned into a cliché in the Superman universe, whilst he also criticised it for being an unreliable attribute.
EW also talked a little about the action scenes in the film, revealing that it has "plenty of building smashing, train-slinging, heat-vision-blasting battles to cut through the emotional heaviness."
'Man of Steel's' producer Chuck Roven stated, "You want to give the audience great spectacle. You want them to go to the movie, be eating their popcorn and be like, 'Wow!'"
Roven added, "But it's just not good enough to give them the 'Wow.' You want them to be emotionally engaged. Because if you just have the 'wow,' ultimately you get bludgeoned by that and you stop caring."
Meanwhile, a new trailer for the film shows Clark Kent in a rather questioning mood, as he struggles under the weight of his power and contemplates his decision to protect the world whilst battling the inner demons in his mind.
Other than that, it failed to shown us anything new that we can get excited over.
And does this indicate that 'Man of Steel' could follow the path of its predecessor, 'Superman Returns' and actually turn out to be a disappointment?
Zack Snyder's superhero epic faces a battle with Marvel's 'Iron Man 3' over the summer to win over audiences.
Evidence from Youtube also suggests that Tony Stark has gained an advantage over Kent, as the most watched 'Iron Man 3' trailer has gathered 55 million views, whilst 'Man of Steel's' trails behind with just 30.
Also a recent survey from Fandango showed that 'Iron Man 3' was the most anticipated movie of the summer, whilst 'Man of Steel' was only placed fifth. It even came in behind 'Fast and Furious 6'! Sacrilege.
At the moment, 'Man of Steel' doesn't appear to have the momentum of previous superhero sagas of yesteryear, and if the films' creators don't react soon, Superman might not be soaring quite as high as they are expecting come June.

Well, Yahoo did name "Man of Steel" one of 2012's most disappointing movies (yes, 2012): http://movies.yahoo.com/blogs/movie-talk/most-disappointing-movies-2012-005030314.html?page=8

Also, I don't think this is a Yahoo columnist - it says Yahoo contributor network which is basically like a blog: "The Yahoo! Contributor Network allows writers, photographers, and videographers to share their knowledge and passion with hundreds of millions of people worldwide. Find your audience and earn money by publishing your unique perspectives on Voices and other Yahoo! sites."

The Man of Steel from 2012 was a disappointment. It felt kinda, I don't know, empty?

Yahoo named MOS one of 2012's Disappointing films ? Lol bye.

Does anyone remember the exact reason it was pushed back?

Posting this for no reason
I just looking at that hair :P

I thought it was because they didn't want it going against Hobbit........

one reason was WB needed another blockbuster type movie in summer 2013 and December already had the Hobbit: an unexpected journey . They didn't want them to compete head to head. there is another reason too, but I can't remember at the moment

A January release would not be a smart decision for a movie like this, they would lose millions of dollars

But why 6 months?... couldn't they just release it a month after the hobbit?

No one goes to the cinema during January.

If December doesn't work, the earliest would be May, but that was already booked with Star trek and others.

Also, the delay was good for us. 6 more months to work on the CGI!

MOS 2012 was quite disappointing. The acting and special effects were almost non-existant...

Basically, Nov/Dec and May-July and March/Aug to some degree are the ONLY months you want a blockbuster being released.

Well it looks like Star Trek just got a 3rd trailer today.

Ooohhh! I am giddy with excitement
Gotta simmer down
Every now and then my wife tries to temper it by reminding me about "Superman Returns"
"Remember how excited u were for Superman Returns and see how that turned out". Sigh!
