If that is the theme, I am in love. As someone who will always hold he opening of The Planet Krypton as the gold standard, I really, really like this.

Krypton :(

The snippet of the action scenes is why Snyder is directing the film. Say what you will about his skills as a writer but the man knows how to direct action.

They took their time, but by Grabthar's Hammer, by the sons of Warvan, the trailer is epic. I have no complaint other than the fact that the action portions went by too quickly. They will probably release a final trailer in May with more structured action scenes.

I was completely taken in by the Krypton scenes in the begining - Snyder did an amazing job with it.

In any case, they already have my money after the 1nd trailer. Now the the 2nd trailer simply expanded my options of seeing in IMAX with and without 3D.

A ton of money shots. With superman hovering in the air while facing the army
I love how they are using his cape. Looks majestic

Strangely enough, I was super impressed by everyone BUT the action towards the end. The quieter scenes in the beginning are what's selling the film for me. But I really hope the CGI fights don't just look like...CGI fights.

I agree.

Trending worldwide, in case anyone was wondering.

Ok, for those who were worried about the trending thing, "Superman" is trending Worldwide

Anyone got a pic of shirtless Cavill running towards the screen? He looked huge there, just perfect.

yep and from what little one can see, he seems to have topped even himself. like someone said, those punches at the end, I've seen nothing like it before in live action really.

This is without doubt a father/son movie, those kind of movies tend to hit me emotionally.

Amy Adams is definitely wearing black underwear in this film, not the Margot Kidder pink. She's THAT kinda Lois :cwink:

Went through it frame by frame and noticed there's a sonic boom everytime Superman lands a punch
:yay:

The thing that stands out to me about the score is that it's almost like an inverted version of the Williams theme. They share elements yet go off in completely different directions.

I noticed that.

I thought Shannon was trending but its from some stupid show.

That trailer was unbelievable. Everything. Just Everything.

We sure have come a long way since those dark days when we weren't even sure we'd get a Superman movie ever again, haven't we?

Other thoughts:

-Snyder has really dialed up the action.

-I adored Henry's smile in the interrogation room. It really appears as though he's nailed the character. :hrt:

-"I WILL FIND HIM!" Shannon's chewing the hell out of the scenery.

-I'll probably still be bored during Clark's childhood scenes but it does seem as though it will be moving.
