Hah both Superman and Man of Steel again, wait for it, trending worldwide! t: I'll stop saying it now since it seems like it'll trend on and off until the end of days!

As long as there's heat vision, train-smashing, tornadoes, and Superman slugging it out with Zod in the actual movie I'll be fine.

WOW what a trailer, here is my opinions of it.


1. Cavill is owning the role easily my second favorite actor to portray Superman only behind Reeve.

2. The music seems kind of "weak" I guess because its new however its not screaming "Superman" compared to the williams theme maybe it will grow with time, but I agree with some other posters from here and on other sites that it sounds like a "made for tv movie" theme. I felt more excitement with the other trailer music then this one.

3. Not digging the colors of the suit in the film, loving the cape and S shield being big however again it seems they went for a muted look. What confuses me is that some toys and pictures from magazine shows the suit being brighter, maybe on screen it will look differently. My opinion Superman is a beacon of light so his suit should be brighter, if the suit was brighter this suit would be my all time favorite. Just wish they would have included an S shield on the cape.

4. Concerned about them not saying "Superman" in the movie, I am thinking we will have a Dark Knight Rises scenario where they never say it.

5. Zod's "I will find him" scream did not evoke the same wraith as "Kneel Before Zod" actually this version made me laugh.

6. Also sadly when I see Amy Adams I can only think of the Smallville episode when she was "Green Diet Drink" person.

Overall I give the trailer 7 out of 10.

Looks, like something from Superman: Birthright

Actually it looks more like Earth One than Birthright. That picture reminds me of the scene when Tyrell shows up and they have to fight him.

As much as I had hoped they scrapped some of the already used footage and added some more money shots, I still came out more than satisfied with the bits of new footage we did get.

I'm actually happy there were some old footage because I know I will be seeing the trailers but I don't want to be too spoiled on the story and what-not.

Wait. They always say "Batman" in the Dark Knight films. In fact i don't actually think lois is actually interrupted when she says superman in the actual film, if you look at the way it's cut you can tell it takes place later the scene.

I get the feeling that Zod is more flesh and blood than Stamps more "comic book villain" style. He sounds angry and desperate and vengeful. Stamp's Zod was just a pompous prick (still awesome)

Agreed. And I like Superman Returns, but it really didn't add anything new.

And at the end of the day that was the main issue, it was a film that didn't add anything new to the franchise.
It seems MOS Will track familiar territory, but it will do it in a new fashion, While also covering new ground as well. This film already feels more intergalactic than the Donner films

Well I was thinking more inline when they didnt mention "Catwoman" in TDKR.


I agree on the the "realism" of this Zod portrayal compared to Stamps. I guess will find out in the next few months how the film is portrayed.

Batman and Zod's tactics are similar. "WHERE IS HE?!" and "I WILL FIND HIM!" get the job done right.

Well I see you're biased towards the John Williams theme already, and that's fine, but a "made for a tv movie theme"...? Are you serious?

Are you talking about Catwoman? But yeah, I guess that might be the case, because the movie's called Man of Steel, but even in the trailer they almost said Superman, so we may hear it at least once, in full.

On the opposite, I think that Zod's whole transmission about Kal-El surrendering within 24 hours alone was more intimidating that Stamp's Zod as a whole, but that's me.

Really? I thought an actress with 4 Oscar nominations and a variety of roles would evoke different thoughts on her character, but well... I guess she made a huge impression in that Smallville episode.
