It could be a great pairing. The "problem" with many of the directors today is they're limited to the realms of reality in the way they choose to shoot and tell their stories. Snyder is from a whole other world where imagination and fantasy is everything. Comparatively Zack is a far more abstract visual director. I can only imagine what his artistic sensibilities could bring to the textures of a real world.

Clearly Krypton plays a big role. A major star as Jor-el, the villains are from krypton, etc. Then clearly Smallville plays a big role, what with the tornado, big name actors playing the parents...and then there is metropolis...

I'm thinking that clark has moved to metropolis and is working at the planet when zod shows up following kal'els ship years later to smallville. Superman is established at this point. When zod shows up causing trouble in this small town perry sends lois and clark to report. Except superman is already on his way home.

A nice long action adventure epic is good IMO!

Its not Michael Shannon and he's got an eyeball marker pointed high above his head. Its definitely NOT Zod! Unless Zod is wearing a CGI chefs hat.
Could it be a CGI version of Nons character? Or some kind of creature they pulled out of the Phantom Zone.

Nobody knows for sure. Everything from Doomsday ( or a Doomsday like creature ) to a robot has been speculated....including even some form of a giant Non.

I was wondering if the thing at the top was a POV camera aimed at Henry, and maybe the scene has Zod floating up in the air looking down on Supes?

Yep. I think this will have all the action that we have been begging for. Once the ''Metropolis'' scenes start up, I expect even bigger and better scenes of destruction.
