Curious how Zod and crew will break out of the Phantom Zone, if indeed they have one in this adaptation.

Sorry but that is B.S. I don't have to respect any movie because of it's so called ambitions. I can't watch good intentions. I have zero respect for Cloud Atlas and find the movie to be just as pathetic as any film that I dislike regardless of genre. I don't hate it because it doesn't deserve my hate but I do find it laughably bad.

This a 100%, David Mitchell deserves the props for the ambitious story, not the Wachowskis, and all the ambition in the world can't save shoddy film-making. Which was the wachowski's job. :funny:

No, I think they are destroying Krypton so Kal-El is "alone", outside of Zod and co. Far from irrelevant.

Yeah, but does Jor-El still send Kal-El to Earth to save him from the ultimate destruction of the planet or is it related to all this genetic engineering stuff, to Kal being illegally conceived?

I wonder if the creature we saw with the tentacles/arms in trailer 3 is some early form of Brainiac. Maybe it had something to do with Krypton's destruction.

We don't know. But either way, the destruction of Krypton is not irrelevant.

Wow..I'm reading again Birthright and that just screams MoS trailer :woot: The part of Krypton, with those flying creatures used as transportation, the red sky, the ships seen in the war shot with Crowe..Just. WOW. :wow:
You can easy find out what Znyder and Goyer pointed with their fingers saying: I want this in the movie! Oh, and even this one! :hrt:

Yep, 3 days after the trailer hit there was an article about what everything in the trailer was. I'll try and find it.

Zack, Debbie, and Charles Roven talks about MoS in this article. Here are some snippets:
“It’s the most realistic movie I’ve made,” Snyder said. “There’s no tongue in anyone’s cheek. I’m not apologizing for Superman in any way. I’m saying, ‘Superman is a thing that must be taken seriously and embraced and understood.’”

.....

“We tried not to make him so predictably morally black and white,” Zack Snyder added. “We gave him some shades of gray. His inherent goodness is still there, and if you really think about it, you still want him to be right and to make the right choices and to do the right thing. I think that we all hope for that in ourselves, and I think that’s what always has made him a very interesting character. He’s a Christlike figure. There’s no two ways about it.”

wachowski's are good directors. thats how :woot:

I love to imagine what the Wachowski's Inception would look like, whilst at the same time dreading what Nolan's take on the original Matrix would be.

Hey guys, since this is a Superman open discussion thread just wanted to see if anyone has had a chance to see the new Superman : Unbound animated film yet? I liked the action a lot but thought the story focused too much on Supergirl and not enough on Superman and Lois Lane. Although pretty much everything with Brainiac was awesome.
