I didn't wanna assume but it looked pretty similar. I know the villain isn't Tyrell in MOS, but all the ships looking like they're invading earth just like in Vol. 1. But eh who knows. You do know more than I do however.

Birthright for me! Earth one was pretty good, and Red Son offers a different look at Supes. But I'm pretty new as far as books are concerned, so these other guys will have more suggestions for you.

Yes, I'd say Birthright and All Star Superman if you're new to the character. A personal favorite of mine is World Without A Superman http://www.dccomics.com/graphic-novels/superman-world-without-a-superman It's a collection of books that takes place after the Death of Superman after his battle with Doomsday but it makes for good reading. Geez, the amount of times I've read that thing.
