Yeah, I hadn’t watched “Watchmen” so that’s news to me. But other than that, yeah, when I think about it, it’s like everything you just mentioned. So MOS might be the first Comic Book Genre/Superhero film where we get to see some large scale destructions taking place within a City (and not a town in New Mexico.lol).

Actually, herolee, I just thought of a comic book movie with a pretty immense scale of third act destruction, even if it wasn't as effectively displayed due to the limits of the time - Superman: The Movie. The entire Western Seaboard of the United States is in the process of falling into the Pacific. The Hoover Dam busts open and the shot of the San Andreas fault line cracking open is pretty epic. I guess nobody does it like Our Boy!

Holy Crap!
 I read it as 1hr 43 minutes and I almost had a heart attack!

phewww! :D

lol.

yeah......THAT would have been cause for concern. :oldrazz:

like when that Last Airbender movie was coming out. Knowing nothing about the property, I saw that trailer and immediately got interested. went out and watched the entire series on DVD. was really looking forward to the movie.

then when they announced the runtime was like 1 hour 30 minutes or something, I was like.........wow!! how the heck are they going to cram all of Book 1 into 90 minutes??

that's when I started getting concerned...........and when the reviews started flooding in.........well.........looks like my concerns were confirmed.

I never did watch that movie...........lol

Be glad you didn't. Seriously. :barf:

That is true; but since it's the same character, it still remains that Superman is still potentially the only solo hero that's had a film with such a high level of destruction and casualties taking place. However, I'm thankful that we won't have a turn back time solution to the destruction caused by Black Zero this time around.lol

Black Zero is truly going to mess some **** up.

Regarding the TV spots, The Avengers have two spots over one million. Roll Call and Together (but its been over a year). IM3 none, TDKR none. MOS has 1 going on 2 (and we only have 5 spots so far!)

Please....don't ever mention THAT movie again.

I can’t really view the whole Destroyer sequence as anything really threatening because we didn’t really see any casualties of any sort take place in that town and there were hardly any civilians presented being in the town to begin with.lol I mean, a few buildings got blown up but I wouldn’t define the destruction of that town being anywhere as close as the one shot of Black Zero blowing a good portion of Metropolis down the ground completely.
How they ended up handling the Destroyer was disappointing. Especially after they seemed to nail it early.

Anybody worried about the shakey camera in the film. It's something I noticed when watching Trailer 3 in theatres.

For example, watch this clip between Jonathan and Clark

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xaGLiFmuiPk&feature=player_detailpage#t=69s

Make sure to watch it full screen. It's really shakey, it would look worse on big screen. I don't mind it, but I know people that were nauseous while watching movies like Cloverfield with really shakey cam, especially during action.

I'd said something similar in the last thread. I'm not concerned. I, personally, enjoy the more steady shots. Ie. Skyfall, Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy, Inception, and Nolan's TDK trilogy. This isn't my preference, but it still looks great.

wow!! was......themoviethatshaltnotbementioned...........really that atrocious??

I'm glad I didn't waste time and money to watch it.........lol

The director of that film may never be able to recover from it.

My entire universe shattered for like a minute, until I realized I was being an idiot and it was actually over 2 and a half hours :woot:

don't care about any other movies other than Man of Steel at this point...except maybe Star Trek

yeah.....in regards to that film.......I remember watching some of the fan reaction videos......

let's just say.......when the die hard fans.......who go to the theater DRESSED UP IN COSTUME as their favorite characters..........say your movie sucked..........

that's.........pretty bad..........lol

I haven't seen THE LAST AIRBENDER yet....simply because I watch so many older movies and Tv series I haven't had the time...but I will watch it soon to see what has some people in an apoplexy.
