the black suit Superman is probably one of the many Movie Master figures also there is a toy set that shows Superman with Jor-El vs. Zod and Nam-Ek, in the bottom left hand corner though, you can see Superman in Jor-El style armor....maybe just maybe this is a ever tiny confirmation that Supes will don armor as well

LOL what? that isn't a spoiler, it's assumed he dies. I guess I don't know 100% he dies, but its the superman story....is there a version he doesn't die?

we have all assumed during that scene where he is screaming, with his longer hair, that is likely something to do with his dad.

"Protect my people" Zod spot.
It was bad ass.
I didn't fully hear Zod's line but it was bad ass nevertheless

actually, the black suit is what he wears during a dream sequence that zod initiates, where supes is corrupt and has become a tyrant of humanity. he's wearing this suit in the scene you see him buried and sinking beneath the mountain of skulls. it's zod's way of saying that anyone can become corruptible.

Yes, there is a version where Pa Kent's death is not a formative part of Clark's life. Pa Kent's death isn't even the DOMINANT version outside of the Donner/Reeve films. Pre-Crisis, both Kents simply died of old age in the comics and Post-Crisis, they lived on for over 20 years to be there for Superman/Clark when he needed them. New 52 reverted to the Pre-Crisis version, but the death of Pa Kent as a particularly formative and life-changing experience is strictly Donner/Smallville/All-Star/Geoff John's Brainiac. So no, it IS NOT "the Superman story".
