That Details Magazine article is pretty great, but seriously, what's with all the Brandon Routh burns in these things? He's a husband and a dad nowadays, it's not like he's a total loser. Are people really that disposable, according to these mags? Damn.

I'm starting to feel overwhelmed by all the new stuff and announcements coming out, to the point where it's likely that I'm missing something. Compare that to the times when you were aware of EVERY SINGLE NEW THING coming out, because you could count them with your fingers, lol.

If MOS is a hit I bet you we are getting a sequel and not another Batman movie. That's exactly what a WF would be.

I don't understand how anyone who likes Superman thinks that he just deserves one film.

Because Batman wasn't in it till about two thirds of the movie. Also, as much as I like Bale's Batman, I want THIS Batman.
Out of all the Batmans, you choose a pic from a game that isn't even out yet. :funny:

I love the assumptions. Do you think Superman so weak a character that he can't share the screen with Batman?

Also, why do you think that if WF happens, it means no more Superman solo movies? That is like a gigantic leap in logic. A ridiculous one truly.

Yeah. Routh seems like a nice guy, whose done some solid work. Just not a very good Superman, but he had mediocre material to work with at best.

I've never been much of a Superman fan, but have to say that I don't think you could've put together a more stellar cast and crew than was assembled for Man of Steel, and I'm actually looking forward to seeing it.

I just watched the third trailer, BTW, and really like the tone and 'look' Snyder et al have brought to the table; it reminds me of 300 and 30 Days of Night crossed with Barman Begins and The Amazing Spider-Man, with a bit of The Avengers and Spider-Man 2 tossed in as well.

Edited to add: Although Nolan might say otherwise, I actually think the world he established in The Dark Knight Trilogy actually could work with the world of Man of Steel, but only if Joseph Gordon-Leavitt plays Batman, which is actually what I'd prefer to see happen as opposed to rebooting the Batman franchise once again.

Are we sure that WB IS even thinking about WF at all?

Superman deserves a trilogy.
Deserve has nothing to do with it. And how does a WF film make a MoS trilogy impossible?

It feels like some of you would rather have IM2 then the Avengers. :funny:

Have you seen his wife? The boy is doing ok. :cwink:

No, it's because much of us want one very good stand-alone trilogy. However, World's Finest seems like a fun movie on the side while the Goyer/Nolan team can work on a "proper" sequel.

We should wait to see how MoS does to see if WB even announces a WF film.

What about a MoS sequel that introduces a new Batman??

:awesome:

If I like the film and that is a big if because I haven't seen the damn thing, I don't want to wait 4 or 5 years for a sequel. That's just me though.

Hey. I'll take as much of Cavill's Superman as I can get.

IMO if MOS is great, there is NO WAY they'll let someone else deal with World's Finest/Justice League ... while another team works on MOS. It will be Snyder (unless he doesn't want it)

I don't think anyone said or even really implied that superman only deserves just one film

You wouldn't have to. WF would exist with this Superman.

Also, looking at the Marvel films, team ups don't necessarily mean a delay in sequels. Thor 2 is coming this year. Cap next year. All within 3 years of their first solo films.

Yeah, but better a WF than a rushtice for Justice. Besides, WF is financially safe. From the director of Man of Steel, comes DC's finest heroes, pairing up for the first time in film. And in 3D.

Audiences will want more Batman, some even wanted The Adventure's of John Blake :whatever:

MOS gives Batman another adventure, while serving as a "reboot." Just as long dialog is dropped that separates the the TDK trilogy, like: "Remember Mr. Freeze?" or some fantastical Gotham villain that's completely different from Nolan's world.

Not feeling it.

And I want to say I don't care about that trilogy talk. I just want a follow up if the film is good, they can do whatever they want after the sequel because 3rd films usually aren't anything special unless the sequel sucked, funny enough. So I'll only care about a redeeming 3rd film if the sequel sucks. Man I'm getting ahead of myself I could hate the first film for all I know...

Trilogies are so overrated. The amount of truly great trilogies can be counted on one hand, without the need of all your fingers.

I'm not talking about Marvel. WB usually doesn't rush their films, that is a fact.
