What in the world is that bottom gif?

Sign that the studio believes in a movie: They ask you to tweet the **** out of it, a la #ThisIsTheEnd. Sign they don't: #embargo.

This makes zero sense. Big movies like MoS always have embargoes. Of course WB wants everyone to tweet 'This is the End' like crazy. It's a completely throw away movie. If it's not "out there" people will forget about it. I'm kinda looking forward to it, but I could totally wait for home video. If MoS is good word of mouth will carry it. It's freaking Superman. The tv spots are all over the place. She sees movies on a regular basis, right?
Now that is all I see. That last gif looks like Darth Vader used the force on it.t:
I find your lack of faith disturbing ...![]()
t:There are different types of embargoes. There are the you can tell people you have seen it and whether you like it embargoes, and then the iron clad, can't even confirm you have sen the movie. That's incorrect. If they are begging you to tweet about a movie that can be a very bad sign. Also, This Is The End has embargoes on it as far as I know.
A legit Indy reference. FlamingCoco wins the thread.Yeah. That being said... I hate embargoes, Jocko! I hate em'!![]()

It's because the general public has no idea what This Is The End is.
Considering how many times I have seen the trailer in theaters (Only seen a MoS one twiceIt's because the general public has no idea what This Is The End is.

It is the movie where Emma Watson plays herself and swings an ax. That is all you need to know.YEah, lol
what is that? this is the first time I've heard of it![]()

Well ... since Seth Rogen usually plays Seth Rogen in films, it's not surprising. Same with Michael Cera ... btw, the biggest reaction is always the Emma Watson scene from the trailer when I've seen it.I just realized something when watching the trailer for "This is the end" before Hangover 3. The whole 'novelty factor' of the movie is that everyone plays themselves - but unless you actually pay attention to the trailer, you cannot figure that out through posters, tv spots etc.
For the general audience, it just looks like a Judd Apatow crew movie.

Haha! I'm fine with 'em. Keeps me from knowing too much going in.Yeah. That being said... I hate embargoes, Jocko! I hate em'!![]()
Makes sense they'd embargo reviews on Man of Steel; it's not like they aren't doing press screening at all. Now THAT would be the sign that they don't believe in the flick. In my opinion, the writer is probably upset that she can't tweet about it, as she is tweeting about This is The End. We'll see though!
Exactly. That should be really obvious to her. It's because the general public has no idea what This Is The End is.

It always amazes me when on a fan forum every single poster gets the exact reaction they want to post out of a friend or family member when it comes to a movie, tv show, comic, etc.Very true. I showed someone the trailer and they had no idea that the actors were playing themselves. They thought "Seth Rogan" was a character name. The only that film has going for it for me is the fact they are playing exaggerated versions of themselves.

Heck, it is going to get a nice little bump from Emma Watson being in it. Many reference to her role on tumblr and such.
Hello. Show off.Yes. I know. They are detailed in the screening invites they send us.

I think we sometimes forget that even with a film like The Avengers ... it sold apx 70-75 million tickets ... now, lets say 10% saw it more than once ... so 65 million people saw The Avengers ... that's only 20% of the US/Canada population. It should shock NO ONE that most people aren't familiar with the upcoming movies. That's why this 'everyone knows about it' or 'everyone wants to see it' is completely bogus. It always amazes me when on a fan forum every single poster gets the exact reaction they want to post out of a friend or family member when it comes to a movie, tv show, comic, etc.
"All my family loved the MoS trailer".
"My friend thought IM3 sucked".
"No one I know even knows who the Mandarin is".
"My sister watches all of Amy Adams movies".
"My 95 year old grandmother loves Cumberbatch."
