Snyder would do very well with the suit. His Night Owl suit was more functional than any of the Batman suits we've seen.
And looked like poo. Though considering his suit is a bit of parody, they can get away with that. Put Batman in something like that now, and be prepared to get him laughed off screen.

lol! Exactly.

There are certain elements of Superman that are make-or-break for me. Krypton needs to explode. Jor-El and Lara need to die after their son flies to safety. Superman can't kill. The movie can have the best writing and acting, the most thrilling action sequences, but if these defining aspects of the character don't happen, it won't even matter to me because it won't be Superman. It makes me nervous when I hear things about serious changes to the mythology, especially when it's rumored that certain elements of the film are inspired by JJ Abrams' Flyby drafts.

Yep, agreed. Like the rumor that Superman needs his suit to fly... wtf? Doubt that's true.
I also like the fact that we'll have action on Krypton with Jor El and Zod fighting.

Definitely. Action on Krypton is something we've barely seen live-action before.

11 days. It's getting a bit real. Still have this full work week to finish though :[ ha

We've pretty much waited three years for this and now were down to eleven days.

Hopefully the score is avaliable this week. I need to hear these tunes in full. :awesome: :hrt:

Which is fine but the same applies for men, I don't like how women act like they're victimised when a female character is underplayed when there's plenty if films where the sane thing happens to men.

But if someone's problem with MOS is that Lois Lane doesn't own the movie then they're watching the wrong film, it's about Superman his co-characters are there simply to fill in the story around him and suppor the main structure if the world he's in.

I don't wanna really get into a feminist thing cause I have a real problem with it and I can see the mods getting annoyed about the conversation.
Who said that men don't need to be developed? I'm sorry but I'm not worried about male characters being developed the same way that I am women. Male characters in modern films by a wide margin get developed better than female characters, that's just a fact. You've said you don't care about women's causes before and I didn't care then and I don't care now. I'm not going to modify my thoughts and feelings for you are anyone else. If you don't care about or agree with equality that is your problem, not mine.

I was going to ignore this post but dammit it kept bothering me so I didn't. I've finally said some of my peace about your cryptic comments and if this were another thread I'd say a hell of a lot more and not stop here.

Despite it's flaws, I like Batman Begins the most out of the trilogy.

The Dark Knight is with the Joker as a domestic terrorist (as all Nolan's villains are) handing Batman his ass to him over and over again! You know the worlds's greatest detective! Nolan made Dent go bad to easily, it was unconvincing. All the convoluted script writing. When Nolan got to Inception I was like. Even The Dark Knight Rises had script problems, which is well known. Ledger did an amazing job, but he didn't play the Joker, he was just a domestic terrorist for no reason but to be a dick. The Dark Knight gets a pass because it has that dark Frank Miller tone and Ledgers portrayal of darkness, and Dent going bad. All for the love for nihilism.

Yeah, I loved those scenes too, I kind of wish they'd have kept that scene that was in the original script where before Wayne goes out to the party Alfred stops him because he still has the raccoon makeup on. Would have been great, IMO. :word:

Honestly, I'm going to miss the buildup to the movie.

I will look back at it fondly, i'm sure... but right now, I just can't think like that. I want the wait to be over. I want that blissful relief :)

lol... that's a great trailers. It's surprising that a cbm evokes so much emotion that doesn't feel cheesy or forced. You don't see that much.

I'm trying to think of moments in CBM's that have made me cry now, and there are only 3 (and that's saying something, because I cry loads in movies :hehe:)

1. Batman Begins - Thomas and Martha Wayne's death and the subsequent scenes (Bruce's relationship with them was just so beautifully painted before hand that you felt their loss so much).
2. TDKR - When Bruce rises from the pit. I saw the whole 'without the rope' thing coming, because I dunno, it just hit me. Especially with the bats flying out right at the last moment and the chanting... was just this really emotional moment.
3. Spiderman - Uncle Ben's death (TASM didn't even make me well up, this is definately one of the things the original did better).

The closest I've been to crying during a movie is when Boo leaves Sully in Monsters Inc.

Hard to believe it's 11 days.

We've pretty much waited three years for this and now were down to eleven days.

Heck, who remembers when the first teaser came out?? I wasn't even convinced to see the movie then. But I remember.

Posted this in the countdown thread yesterday (though i've added a day on to all the figures now)... it puts things in perspective!

1209 days since Chris Nolan was announced as mentoring a Superman reboot
1194 days since David Goyer was announced as the writer
972 days since Zack Snyder was announced as the director
854 days since Henry Cavill was announced as playing Superman
324 days since Comic Con 2012 and our first glimpse of footage
316 days since the first teasers
173 days since the first full trailer
47 days since trailer 3
12 days since trailer 4

I still remember the Deadline article announcing Chris Nolan godfathering Man of Steel. I had given up on a Superman film as it seemed in limbo forever. And now three years later we're almost there.

Damn, that's pretty far out. That's a long time since it got greenlit.

And now here we are...

1. It has to have at least two [named] women in it
2. Who talk to each other
3. About something besides a man
.

But the thing is, some plots simply aren't structured in a way for that dynamic to happen. I guess the
Kent/Lane
confrontation doesn't count cuz.. Clark.

Wow really? What a pile of crap, there's something very wring with today's works isn't there?!

No credit for Nolan. He did nothing remember. :cwink:

If you remember. Latino Review followed up Deadline's MOS story by having their sources say it wasn't an origin story and that the villains were Lex Luthor and Braniac.

People doing things for bizarre reasoning is actually the exact opposite of wrong. It shows the freedom in we have.

Read my post again I never said men don't need to be developed at all.

Don't really get your problem at all, I simply stated that feminists tend to nitpick about women been underplayed in certain films, yet what about when a man is underplayed? It happens to both men and women. The whole things a double standard. And I've never really gotten involved in the whole feminist argument before so I think you're confusing me with someone else.

I wasn't been cryptic either just don't want to stir anything up, read my post properly next time before getting on your high horse. Got a problem with me then fine don't really care one way or the other but I've got my own opinions deal with it.

Yup :funny:

There were so many rumours at the beginning though.

Like Lindsay Lohan might be the villain. Lois might not be the main love interest. Some bald actor no one had ever heard of might be Lex Luthor.

There were some fun times :hehe:
