When it comes to the actual novel I think the series nails it better than the movie. Plus Firth is an excellent Mr. Darcy. He makes it. I did enjoy the movie. I just happened to like that series better.

While the series has more of the novel, I don't think it is as good an adaptation or simply as good a piece of film. The movie gets the ideas and feelings of the book, and brings them to life with its take, while the series feels far more paint-by-numbers.

Just watch the dance scenes side to side. No comparison imo.
