Good point. Really, if people are giving Nolan too much credit, it means the marketing worked.

I would agree with this. The name Chris Nolan=$$$. Simple as that. Though, at least Zack Snyder's name has been appearing in all the promotional material so far. It's not like After Earth where they don't even really acknowledge it's an M. Night Shyamalan film lol.

Unless Nolan is the real driving force and the MoS kingdom gets run into the ground after he leaves. :wow:

Oh, don't worry. Someone will surely say that the sequel ran the franchise into the ground, Nolan or not. If MOS 2 features a fan favorite villain, someone will accuse the movie of "pandering to fans." If it teases a few other DC superheroes, someone will call it "a 2-hour commercial for Justice League." If it features Lex Luthor, someone will say "they already ran out of good ideas and just went back to Lex again." If it features ONE underdeveloped character or ONE bad line of dialogue, someone will say it had a "sh** script."

Don't worry. If there's one thing you can count on comic book movie fans to do, it's find a reason to hate ANYTHING.

Right here, Kevin! Just got home. Ask me some questions you guys have, and I'll try to answer them to the best of my knowledge. Man, the movie was a lot to take in.

Does Zod actually get killed?

When Snyder, Nolan and WB are all sitting around on their fat pile of cash toasting each other and laughing at how much money they all just made, nobody will care who credits who.

If it's great, one of the FIRST thoughts will be how no other director replicates the imagery of a comic book like Zack. Also he tends to find REALLY talented unknowns. Combine that with the fact that he's a strong action director, and I'm not sure there would be any other guys that would do the SCALE of Superman justice. Also, he can tell good stories through images. The shots of Clark and his father speak a lot about the type of bond they have. I'm not sure everyone can do this kind of movie. He even pulls off lens flares more organically than JJ.

Also Goyer did most of the writing. It seems that of Goyer and Snyder, only Chris is prestigious enough to stand out among the GA. If Chris isn't involved for the sequels, then maybe the ACTUAL director can gain recognition.
Like?

I also love the "Goyer did most of the writing" line. :funny:

Nolan probably worked on MOS for a week and will get more credit than Snyder..

According to Goyer he worked on it for a couple of months mapping out the story beat for beat, and was then checking in with the production a few times a week while he was shooting TDKR.

Basically Nolan deserves credit for helping shape the story and for having the clout at WB to snap his fingers and get this movie made. Goyer obviously deserves credit for writing the screenplay and getting to the nitty gritty of all the details while working very closely with Snyder. Snyder deserves credit for the visual style, the casting and basically bringing everything together into a unified vision. And for putting in the damn hard work! But yeah, Nolan's name being emphasized in the marketing means more people will go see Zack's movie, it will make more money and he'll have more negotiating power next time around. The guy is gonna be just fine.

Nice to see some happiness and excitement here though. We're close!

1. Emotional?

2. What was your reaction to Zod's demise?

How was the music??

The music was fantastic. Zimmer really knows how to set the mood with his music, but the acting was great enough not to need his music. However, his music made what we saw on screen so much more better.

I'm in the car so after the drive home I'll say more. But for now? THIS MOVIE F**KING ROCKED MY SOCKS OFF! And you actually cared about the characters. Henry IS Superman. He embodies the character completely. I think you guys will love it! Also, the action blew my mind.

I love you, man. :woot:

TDK sucks after all.

Haha, yeah I was thinking about After Earth when I typed that. It wasn't until about a week ago that I realized AE was a Shyamalan movie. Once I did, I knew it would suck. :woot:

I ask only one thing Cosmic. When does the comic-con footage of Clark walking into the DP come in? Is it the end of the movie, the middle, etc?

1. What do you think it will get on Rotten Tomatoes?

2. Where do you rank it among other superhero movies?

3. Where do you think the general audience will rank it among other superhero movies?

Thank you so much for sharing your thoughts and answering our questions!

Really encouraging to here. Makes me want the score to leak even quicker!

What were the biggest negatives in the movie? (it is good to know)

Thanks, man!!!! :D :D

Is the "love story" with Cavill and Adams really "bad"?

hey Power.

ok, for the big one

Does Superman really snap Zod's neck in the end and kill him? If so, how is the scene? was it intentional, accidental?? does Superman feel remorse after and vow never to kill again?
