Said the person who tied their mortality to the World's Finest movie on this very page.

No I said I wanted the movie to come out within my lifetime. Not that I'd kill myself if the World's Finest didn't come out.

But yes, if Avengers 2 tanks, its because the end of the world is happening, and who wants to be around when the world is ending? :oldrazz:

^ Haha. But I wouldn't mind a "darker" Justice League. The tone of STID feels suitable for a JLA movie. A dark villain that drives dark events, but with comic relief and warm character interaction to balance it out.

I really enjoyed "Clark's Nightmare"

Of all the scenes in the film, I think this was the one where Snyder really cut loose and let us style come through. For the rest of the film he restrained himself so much, never using slow motion etc etc, but he cut loose here.

When Snyder was first announced as director I feared the entire movie would be stylized like the "Clark's nightmare" scene, but thankfully it wasnt, it was extremely grounded and made you believe this was happening in our world.

^ The nightmare was a great sequence. It communicated to me a lot about the character of Clark without using any dialog.

Zack actually did use slo mo once when the non type character threw the van at the helicopter in the smallville fight lol

Slow-Mo was also used when Zod uppercut a Superman that was thrown in like 3 or 4 buildings onto space. At that point I was like "lolSnyder."

(I loved the effect though)

In a movie devoted to showing us a more "grounded" Superman, the nightmare sequence stood out for its explicit visualization of abstract fears (i.e. Superman disappearing into the mountain of skulls as a metaphors for Zod's attempted genocide).

Superman: Why didn't you write me? Why? It wasn't over for me, I waited for you for seven years. But now it's too late.

Batman: I wrote you 365 letters. I wrote you everyday for a year while I was off pretending I was dead.

Superman: You wrote me?

Batman: Yes... it wasn't over, it still isn't over!

It was awesome, and rather artistic, I think.
