Leave this to Nolan.

random question...has the topic of Superman's fingerprints ever been addressed? how does he get away with not wearing gloves? he leaves his fingerprints everywhere, undoubtedly someone would've matched it with Clark's.

I hope with the new Superman fim coming out we finally get the next season set of Superboy. Season 1 really doesn't do the show justice, if people bought that thinking it was the best the show wcould be then they're really missing out.

I also hope we end up getting a full cut of Superman Returns but I just can't see it.

Tron had a Christmas release what kind of numbers did that do?

That's pretty unimportant, isn't it? Nobody cared about Tron in 1982, it's not like people were pining for a sequel 28 years later.

Say what you will about how anticipated another Superman film is by the general public, Superman is still a big name franchise, and a Superman movie that looks awesome will attract an audience.

Tron did less than expected, but still fairly well. And Avatar was released around Christmas.

I'm right the opposite..I was let down by the SR Metropolis. I never got a sense that it was a '' metropolois''.
Anywho, here's hoping snyder gives us what we all want.

Now that I really think about, I agree. I just loved SR's Daily Planet. It was perfect.

Oh yeah and that was huge although James Cameron films tend to get so overhyped so I doubt Superman would do those kind of numbers.

A Superman movie has the chance to do better than Avatar, if done right. The story in Avatar sucked but it was fun and amazing to watch. Imagine a 3d Superman movie with amazing visuals?

Yeah...the Batman films may not be meant to be shot in 3D....but I'm all for a Superman film being shot with 3D cameras!

I only care about one thing...getting the character right. I don't care about the fingerprints crap, africa or anything else.
Superman is strong in appearance and in personality. He doesn't back down. When he punches someone like Brainiac, the ground shakes. He can cut off a robots limb with his eye beams. He's serious and caring, but he can show anger just like anyone.

I want to see a scene where he bursts the glass in Lex's high rise office and just floats there with a stern anger as he tells Luthor he won't get away with it...whatever IT is.

That's the Superman I know and want to see.

great post, GhostPoet (that's a tongue twister, hehe)

just putting out there that i hope they utilize Clark's ability to see things that no one else can. for instance auras (life energy), radio waves, satellite signals, etc. it would be really cool to see Clark in the Daily Planet for the first time with Lois catching his eye and her aura shining brighter than everyone else's.

I just basically want to see a version of Superman that isn't portrayed as some type of christ like figure for heaven's sake (sorry for the pun).

I mean, I don't get some of the comments that have been made when comparing the character to Christ; IF Superman is to be compared to a biblical figure, then he matches the "Moses" character more than anyone else; hell both Superman and Moses's arch enemies (Lex and Pharaoh) both happen to be conveniently bald as well.lol

In any case, I hope that they find the right tone for this. This shouldn't be a dark film like SR was, or like Watchmen, 300, Batman Films, but in the same time, they shouldn't make it as campy as Spiderman 3 was either.

Ugh. I hated the aura thing from BR so I hope i dont see that in a movie.

Just saw a segment on the Colbert Report about the Cavill casting.

"His name is Super Man, not Smashing Gent!"

Well of course the character is most important but people can list scenes they'd like to see in a movie. If everyone just wanted the character right then we wouldn't really have much to talk about.

Here’s a scene I would like to see…

One of Brainiacs super drones is shooting Superman with hundreds of energy bolts. Superman try’s to block them with his hands and arms as much as he can as they keep pushing him back. He quickly grabs a nearby empty car and throws it at the drone, it explodes long before it can reach its destination. Superman bursts through the smoke and fire and punches the drove with powerful force, the shockwave shattering nearby windows.

That sounds pretty cool

I hope they'll release the title of the film soon. They shouldn't be like the Spider-Man reboot, where they're deep in production already. It's kinda dumb. It's as if they're overthinking the title. Just call it 'The Amazing Spider-Man' and get it over with!

Thats definitely what they should call it.

But didn't Batman Begins start production without us knowing it was called Batman Begins. For a long time it was called the Intimidation Game. Tbh I really think Superman will just be called The Man of Steel.

I think with Batman Begins, they just had a hard time coming up with a good title. So they just settled for 'Batman Begins'.

I kinda liked it, its straight to the point and people had to know from the get go it was a reboot after the horror show that was Batman & Robin.
