Will she throw it?

Hee, dunno! If Lynda Carter didn't have an endorsement deal with a curling iron and/or hairspray company - she should have! Flawless recoil on the curls. :cwink:

The third and fourth image could easily be used as a teaser poster with minor changes.

With Toy Story 4 being pushed back a year and replaced with Cars 3, I wonder if WW will stay put or will WB still consider moving it?

I agree. They would look like fantastic posters. I'd hope the final poster is as good looking, but sometimes the concept art looks a lot better than the film posters which are just some Photoshop crap like for the Avengers.

Guys Jason Fusch, screenwriter of Wonder Woman is about to go on the schmoes know show in a bit, here's the link.

With Pan most assuredly bombing hard, I hope Fuchs gets sacked immediately or we somehow get a much different writer in this adaptation.

A little late in the game to do that, I'm afraid. Unless they delay the film.

But yeah, Pan looks like complete trash. It's disconcerting.

He's saying that Joe the director had some input on the script.

And he's a huge DC fan.

He also said how Terrio knocked it out of the park in introducing WW in BvS.

Well, there's some consolation to everyone who's worried regarding Fuchs' involvement - he is writing a character that was already laid out by Terrio. This should minimize the possibility of him ****ing it up.

And I guess I'll have to watch "Pan" now, to see whether it was the writing that made it bad or something else...

According to Harloff on the Schmoes Knows his biggest problem with Pan wasn't the writing but Joe Wrights style.

Is that true for the other reviewers?

I reckon most of the blame for Pan is down to Joe Wright than Fuchs and WB must have liked the initial script to green light the film in the first place.

Time will tell, but this reeks of the same scenario which led to the writing team behind Gangster Squad to headline the JL script, and then just as quickly getting the boot once that film got released and trashed.

Studios tend to have a rotating starting team of writers, so it's no surprise they're cross-pollinating talent across their properties.

Studios green-light bad scripts all the time, so that's not exactly comforting.

We know that Wonder Woman had a "committee" of writers involved, with Fuchs being the main screenwriter. Hoping for the best, but I'm probably more stressed about this film than any other in the DCU. I desperately want this to live up to its potential.

And Jekecy, last we heard the film starts production next month (from Deb Snyder). Unless something's changed and this film's getting a significant delay, I'd imagine Fuchs' screenplay is here to stay - for better or worse. Fortunately Patty Jenkins is a pretty talented writer. Here's hoping she had input.

I'm struggling to think of a movie that had three or more writers and turned out great.

Edge of Tomorrow. I'm sure there are plenty others but that was just on TV, lol.

Skyfall was written by two writers then rewritten by John Logan and that turned out fine, Jurassic World had four writers on it so it's not unusual especially with big budget films.

The thing about multiple writers is that as long as they have a clear vision and proper lead guidance then im sure it'll turn out great.

Or it'll be like ASM2 :hehe:

I'm pretty sure Joe Wright bares responsibility for Pan as well because he is the freaking director, also I seriously doubt Wonder Woman only has one writer. I'm not saying that it's great that Pan got bad reviews but I'm not going to go into panic mode yet.

I'm not saying don't be worried. I'm worried about whether any film I'm looking forward to will be good or not. I'm just saying that I don't yet see some doomed project.

I really do hope they don't have to delay this film though after the annoying Captain Marvel mess that's frustrating me.

From the THR article:

You've ruffled some feathers hiring competing writers to work on some projects at the same time, such as with Wonder Woman. What's the strategy?

Every project is different. On some projects, we have multiple writers working together. In some cases, we put writers together who have never been a team together. And sometimes, there is only one writer whose voice is right. In the case of Wonder Woman, the right approach was to have writers pitching different scenes within the framework we created.

That framework probably being the Sandbox that Snyder and Terrio and the DCEU think-tank created.

If so then im ok with this.

Plus for Pan it looks like there was some 'style over substance' issues with the film rather then the writing in general, seeing alot of 'CGI-overload' in some reviews.

And not forgetting that even writers who have written decent films can also write duds, e.g. Simon Kinberg who wrote X-Men Days of Future Past but also wrote Fantastic Four.

Also, WB likely saw the final film months ago and didn't think it was good hence the delay from July to October to likely try and salvage the film.

Yep, writers write bad films and decent ones.

It depends on the source material and the director their working with.

I think the radio silence is just getting to me a little bit.

Is it odd that we haven't gotten a production start date this close to the supposed start?
