I dont see any continuity issues between BvS and WW. They didn't contradict anything and it complements each other very well. When Diana said she walked away from mankind it meant she wasnt a public hero and she left mankind to make its own course. And thats what she did. Simple really.

Unless they try to retcon things, that is probably the very best way to look at it. Otherwise we can drive ourselves, and others, nuts.

This article provides some more info about Chief.

You discover something new each time you watch this movie.

That's pretty cool. And there I was thinking he was merely introducing himself. :loco: Glad it was more than just, 'Hey, I'm Al Longtooth..'

Exactly. The final scene takes place in the modern day, after the events of BvS. I recall she also says that fighting for mankind is less important than being a force for love, or something akin to that. We simply don't know what she did after the events of World War One. My guess is she could have just remained in the background during this time. But the ending, set in the modern day, ends the film on an optimistic note. She's back in costume and saving the world.

I don't know if it would have added anything, but what would the inclusion of a scene of Diana opening a dusty wardrobe to reveal her hero costume, with the next scene being her on the roof? It would solidify the notion that she went undercover, in a way she became a spy such as Steve was rather than being out and in the open.

I's like to see a new Supergirl movie done but I'm not sure if they would do it whilst Melissa Benoist's show still going on. Then again they are using two Flash's.

I would be all up in there for a new Supergirl movie. Wonder Woman and Supergirl are my faves!! Though I like the CW Supergirl, I think a movie version should go more to canon, with a younger actress. It's been said before and will be again, they should do the Supergirl from Krypton arc. That would be great to see in live-action and on the big screen.

I've seen a lot of people ship Antiope/Menallipe together but they don't realize they are sisters lol. Of course the film didn't really do a good job of stating that Hippolyta had 2 sisters.

Well, in the mythology, it is stated that Antiope is actually Ares' daughter... They played a bit with the mythology for artistic reasons and to push the story line. I like it better if they were more than shipped...:cwink:

They should've flipped that image so Thor is on the left of the pic, since you read from left to right. It took a second read to realise that he's actually meant to be the one speaking first and not Diana.

His speech bubble is higher. It took me a second look too though...

Amazons at rest. What a cool picture!

I suspect that's what the writers for the movies are doing, too. And I am totally fine with this.

They may keep it loose, to allow the directors to have more reign when making the stand-alone movies. Tied together, but loosely...

And yes, cool shout-out from Cavil!

pretty recent, whereas for us it could have been a millennia since.

I think each time a new actor was introduced, the time frame was jumping ahead a thousand years or so. The fall of Olympus happened thousands of years ago, and that would explain her being the child of Zeus and Hippolyta, and yet still being a young adult by the time the movie happens.

I like that explanation..thanks.

This must've been such a fantastic shoot. :hmr:

Imagine the feeling at the time of all these women coming together to fight as warriors.

The crew talked about how all these actresses and models had husbands who were standing about with strollers looking after the babies or children while the women were the ones working.

Which Amazon was Doutzen Kroes? I don't remember seeing her. I must've missed half the actresses as it all happened too quickly.

Anyone find it hilarious that WONDERWOMANSUPERFAN#1 hasnt been seen since about a week before the film. Gee I wonder why...

Wonder Woman Amazon Warrior and CrossFit Athlete Brooke Ence Wants to Prove that 'Strong Is Beautiful'

Brooke Ence was preparing for the 2015 Reebok CrossFit Games when she got a call asking if she wanted to portray an Amazon warrior in the upcoming Justice League film.

“[Director] Zack Snyder had come across a picture of me online and asked Warner Bros. to reach out,” Ence, 27, tells PEOPLE. “It took me a little while to accept [the role] because I wasn’t sure it was going to be worth disrupting my career. I was training for the World Finals of the CrossFit Games, but I ended up accepting it. It was a natural thing for me to do Wonder Woman as well after doing Justice League.”

Ence is best known as a competitive CrossFit athlete, but she actually has a background in musical theater and grew up singing and dancing.

“I always thought I would be on Broadway,” she said, but felt she ended up taking a different path because of her physique. “My whole life I’ve been a very muscular girl. I knew all of the dance companies I could never dance for because of the way that I looked.”

Which is why she knew she wanted to be a part of Wonder Woman, portraying the Amazon warrior Penthiselea.

“It couldn’t have been more perfect to be a part of a film where being a powerful, strong woman is not frowned upon,” she says. “It’s super empowering to all ages and sexes. It could not have been a better role for me.”

Because she was already in CrossFit shape, Ence didn’t have to strength train for the film, but she did have to do some stunt training.

“We did stunt practice a couple of days a week,” she says. “I had to know how to use the sword. The swords weren’t light! Luckily for me, I grew up dancing so it was like second nature because it’s like choreography. I also grew up riding horses, and we were training on horseback every day. Riding horses was by far my favorite [part of training].”

Ence says getting to work alongside Gal Gadot and the other strong women in the film was “a fantastic experience.”

“The best thing is knowing that I was part of something that will mean a lot and will send a very positive message for boys and girls and men and women for years to come,” says Ence. “I got to play a role that means so much to me as a woman, and as a strong woman. It [shows that] strong is beautiful, strong is powerful, but it’s not just strong in the physical sense — it’s strong in your attitude, it’s strong in your mental game, in your compassion. That’s what I think is portrayed really well by Gal in this movie.”

Probably some fatal baking accident.

I think it coincided with the glowing reviews coming in.

All these Amazons bts photos and interviews are really making me wish for a sequel solely set in Patty's Themyscira.

I think that would be pretty boring, tbh.

I don't think so. There is so much they could tell there. A lot of the WW animated movie took place there.

I would see it much like these Greek myth epics. There are also other islands to explore there. They could have all kinds of fantastic beasts lurking.

And honestly I wasn't that impressed with a lot of the fights in BVS either (sorry, but I didn't care for the Doomsday fight). It wasn't up to Snyder's usual standards.

that warehouse scene is legendary, straight from the arkham games, we never seen something like that from any charachter on a superhero movie before

Quick plot question:

My fiancee said towards the end, Ares revealed to Diana that she actually wasn't made from clay, but was in fact an actual daughter of Zeus like in the New 52. Was that true? If so I totally missed that line.

Thanks.

I hope we get at least in the home release A LOT of footage with the amazons, their training, their just being around, etc.
