Amy Adams has a classic beauty to her...like women you saw from the early days of movies.
And the fact is, she DOES resemble Lois from the 40's, which applies with her classic beauty look, and obviously she doesn't resemble modern Lois.
I agree with this 100%. Amy does have that classic ´´natural`` beauty going on for her. I simply cannot comprehend how anyone could say that she is ugly or not attractive. I mean, I understand if someone doesn't fancy her, we all see things through our own eyes but there is a difference between someone not being your type but still being able to acknowledge that they are good looking and simply saying someone is ugly because they are not to your tastes. At least I can differentiate between the two, someone might not be to my style but I can still see and appreciate the beauty in them.
But, to be honest most of the negative towards Amy seems to come from comic book related news sites and the dominant demographic posting comments there is between the age of 10 (going as low as 6 actually) and 18. And most kids these days have very different views on what makes a woman beautiful, they fall for the fake, plastic, very thin young girls who exhume more sexuality rather than beauty. It's a thing of maturity. Im only 24 (well, 25 soon) but I remember full well that my taste in a lot of things, women included was different and more narrow 10 years ago than it is now. So I think you have to be either young, gay, blind or simply ignorant to claim Amy Adams is actually UGLY. Ugh.
And what's this I read about some saying she looked FAT in some of the MOS set photos?! Dear lord! Is this another symptom of today's society? Skin and bones on a woman? Even if she WAS slightly chubby on the right spots it wouldn't matter, but she's not. She's got a perfectly normal and healthy body of a grown woman and some good assets as well.
Absolutely. Some people think just because she doesn't look like the modern Lois, she's somehow less faithful or completely new character. That's ridiculous. She's still Lois Lane, and we haven't even seen the acting yet.
Agreed. Lois had different hair colors and styles throughout the history of Superman. If she always had only one look I would maybe understand any of the complaints but since she didn't, I really don't. Like you said, they obviously weren't going for the modern Lois look in the comics but for the more vintage style. Im fine with that. For me Lois can be ginger, red head, brunette or black hair and im fine with any of that. Her personality is a much much more important part of the character and one that defines her, not the hair. Which is why they picked Amy Adams, because she can obviously translate what they want to the big screen. And obviously because she DOES look like Lois Lane, because (once again) Lois does not have one single face/hair. Quite frankly, I find the hair color debate ridiculous.
And I personally always prefer if Lois didn't have black hair, even though I always fancied women with natural black hair more (and my fiancee has natural black hair as well so) but to me Lois and Clark often look like brother and sister, both with thick black wavy hair and all.

So what does everyone think of Miss Lane's wardrobe?
Quite perfect, imo, from what I've seen so far from the set pics. She had more casual wardrobe in Smallville and ´´Alaskan`` fishing village sets as far as I remember otherwise she seemed to have her ´´reporter`` attire on. Im no fashion expert but to me she looks modern, professional but also quite feminine. I mean, some business women today and even reporters tend to dress like men (perhaps in an effort to be taken more seriously by their idiotic bosses? I have no idea) but Miss Lane's outfits really bring out the woman in her while still being totally professional. Ugh, this wardrobe talk just gave me a headache.
