The Force Awakens Andy Serkis as Supreme Leader Snoke - Part 1

I'm now open to the idea that Snoke could be something like the Wizard of Oz... merely a facade.

Could Snoke be of the same race Asajj Ventress was/is? She was referred to as Supreme Leader on the Clone Wars animated series.

Thing is, we never really see a male Dathomiri. It's implied they take mates from the Zabrak they enslave there, but at the same time the women always look different from the men if that's to be taken into account.

Either way, I'm pretty sure the title is just that: a title.

Okay so here is my question.. If there are in fact sith running around then the prophecy is not complete.. Balance is not restored to the force.. With that being said... With Anakin being the supreme figure in this universe.. Could in fact Anakin come back to fulfill the prophecy once and for all ?? I mean he was born of the force!! No father ... He is the force.. Could he not return if you have ancient siths running around ?

Didn't the PT make mention that maybe Anakin wasn't the chosen one?

I liked Snoke. Couldn't tell Serkis was involved.

Anyone else think Snoke looked a little bit like Arseface from Preacher?

The Jedi did. They had no idea that Anakn was destine to turn to the dark side, wipe them all out, yet only fulfill the prophrecy by killing the Emperor many year later.

Beside Lucas himself has stated that Ankain/Vader is the chosen one and that he brought the force back into balance by killking the Emperor.

First off...Snoke was one of the most *****in characters in the flick...i loved how he was giant, and how he was not clearly a hologram.

my thoughts:

Fringe theory: I agree this guy could be some real fake character, but who would that point to? So far the only suggestion would be Poe Dameron, who had an awkward escape scene? I mean who else would it be, aside from a character they havnt introduced.

Theory #2: Hes a computer program or something.

Another theory: Hes something like a malformed clone of Papaltine. Wasnt that an original Supershadow idea? lol.

Rey's Momma? :wow: THAT would be a twist.

[BLACKOUT]Did anyone notice how Snoke and Vader had almost a similar scar on their head?

It looked like Snoke's was indented, but Vader's was just a scar. Not sure if that has any meaning.[/BLACKOUT]

Sorry for being a bit hostile. I still got Bat on my mind. Not you, but another. Theoretically Plagueis is still a possibility, but I just don't think it is likely at all after this movie.

I would consider them merging the idea of the first Sith and Plagueis if not for that little factoid about what Luke might have been doing that Han dropped. What would be at the [BLACKOUT]First Jedi Temple[/BLACKOUT] that Luke would want or need? Info on the first Sith. Also, if he is a phantom, a ghost from the past, that could explain his body. Probably not his own.

The art book and novelization also have plenty of hints that he is not Plagueis or even the first Sith. It is made very clear the Snoke is not supposed to look old. J.J. made them make Snoke look younger to differentiate him from the Emperor before he approved the final design. The novelization also suggests some sort of familiarity between the Solos, Leia especially, and Snoke. If Snoke is the first Sith, then you might be right about inhabiting/possessing someone else's body. However, it does appear that Snoke is the body's name given the long familiarity.

He can't be Plagueis because Plagueis is a Munn, and Snoke clearly was not one.

My best guess is he's linked to Palpatine. Isn't it possible that Palpatine could have learned to cheat death? That was one of his ultimate goals…

What's up SW crew?! :D  I wasn't big on Snoke. I thought it was a great movie, and hope to see him evolve or devolve back into Palpatine form or something :D

you might be onto something there ;)

Oh and I like your title...hehe. and your avi too. ;)

I've seen the film 3 times now and Snoke has grown on me. I still don't believe for a second they couldn't accomplish the way he looks without practical makeup and effects. They could've done both (same goes for Maz). Sorry, but no way. At this point who cares though, I'm intrigued by this dude lol.

What I would love to see happen in the next film (or save it til the last film, EP 9) is Snoke to appear far smaller than he makes himself out to be. Just like the Wizard of OZ. How crazy cool would it be if we finally see him in person next to the other characters and he's the size of Maz? For all we know, they could be of the same race or species themselves (both are ancient and have very similar facial features, although Snoke is all cut up and damaged).

I would love to see the big bad be a smaller little guy for a nice (and unexpecting) contrast to what we've had before.

Wasn't he said to be seven feet tall?

But I agree, I think Snoke would have been better as a combination of practical and cgi effects

Yes, 7 feet tall. But until we've seen him standing next to another character in the flesh and not through a hologram, the writers and directors could change that if they wanted to.

Is it ME or does Snoke look like one of Marvel's Watchers?

Didn't Han Solo said to his son, Snoke is using you to get your power or something??

Could Snoke be a Force Absorber?? Or like Orcochimaru from Naruto??

Palpatine might have survived by going from body to body and Snoke is his latest body and is training Rey like Orochimaru was training Sasuke.
