Dear Children,

If your contributions have essentially nothing to do with the characterization of Selina Kyle and are little more than transparent dreck tailored toward your goofy fanboy desires than anything viable, keep them to yourselves. It's becoming more than tiresome to have this thread periodically cleaned up because people seem to equate discussion of a character that boasts sensuality with ongoing blather about **** and ass.

In very short order, such individuals will be removed from discussing the topic altogether for the slightest transgressions. I very strongly suggest that the current climate of discussion resemble something of worth.

Grow up.

Yes, and the thing that distinguishes catwoman's suit from all the other is...

*drumroll*

a catmask/hood!
Distinguishes, yes. But for the love of Alfred, stop saying it doesn't look like Catwoman. You might not be able to tell it's Catwoman, but that doesn't mean it doesn't look like her.

I am hoping that this just is what she looks like during her first encounter with Batman, and that she gets the cowl shortly afterwards. Without the cowl or at least the cat ears she just doesn't look like the character. My initial reaction was that she looks more like Baroness than Catwoman.

I do think it's awesome that she rides the Batpod though. :awesome:

Question. When it comes to the claws, will they always be on her gloves or will it be a retractable device? What do you think?

You might not be able to tell it's Catwoman, but that doesn't mean it doesn't look like her.
But if you might not be able to tell it's Catwoman, than how does it look like her?

It doesn't look like Catwoman because it doesn't look like Catwoman.

If she had the mask, and took it off, it'd still BE Catwoman, but it wouldn't LOOK like Catwoman.

That's the idea I think a lot of people are trying to get across.

The costume is basically the equivalent of removing all the Bat-like qualities from Batman;

Ughh.
She looks awful.
Can't say I'm surprised though.
Everything under the head area looks alright...
But that mask and hair...blegh

I would think they would have to retract. I mean, that could get unnecessarily dangerous if they were always out. You go to scratch your nose once...:oldrazz:

Omg that looks like Catwoman! What is she doing in GI Joe?

That's the complete opposite of what I'm doing, and even if I was doing that, there are several other people that ARE doing it. And you're not saying boo to them.

But sure. Fine. Whatever.

It's exactly what you are doing.

You don't know what I am saying to who, but you have been a pain in the ass for a long time so I was giving you an extra heads up.

What claws? From what I can tell, she doesn't have any.

(just for anybody else, whether she gets them later on is moot, because we don't have the movie, all we have to go by is this official picture, and from this official picture, she doesn't have claws)

I don't know. How do people say it looks like Batgirl when there's no cape or cowl? How do people say it looks like Black Widow when she doesn't have red hair? How do people say it looks like Trinity when it's not sunglasses and man-hair?

It looks like Catwoman as much as it looks like those other characters. It's lack of a distinguishing feature doesn't make it look any less like Catwoman.

Might be dumb but does it look like the front part of the googles could flip up to form ears? So it would be a mask and ears?

I wonder if Catwoman will drop off Batman's Bat-pod at Wayne Manor for him? Would be nice of her.

Giving my opinion in a calm and rational way that I don't like this picture and WHY I don't like this picture.

That's it.

I'm not calling ANYBODY stupid for liking the picture, nor am doing anything else than giving my opinion and debating with others about my/their opinions.

That's it.

Remember fellas this is Selina Kyle. Not Catwoman. We haven't seen Catwoman yet. :)

Lets not get so heated. Thankyouplease.

She will have them. Come now. We can't just have a woman in a black suit and call her Catwoman. The costume emcpasses a number of details which add to her persona.
This picture should not have been released. It gives off the complete wrong impression and makes her look like some hanger-on who wants to be Batman.

But yes, I'm 99% certain we're getting the whole claws, ears and whip deal.

Pretty much.
I like the modern Catwoman costume's subtle cat motif, but removing the cowl removes the motif entirely, making it look generic.

I don't know about whip or claws, but she will definitely have the ears and cowl!
