The Dark Knight Rises Anne Hathaway as Selina Kyle/Catwoman XIII

Literally no one has done that. No one.

You've complained just about every day now about her "cat ears" and how she doesnt look like "catwoman" and blah blah... get over it already, you're gonna be in line on opening day.

Rachel is clearly in a relationship with Harvey but has not let go of Bruce fully in a romantic sense. She clearly still cares for him and even kisses Bruce . The fact the she even had to make a choice shows it wasn't exactly clear to her who she would commit to be with until the end

That kiss was awkward, and imho unnecessary if she was going to reject him in the next minute. Rachel cared for Bruce, but not romantically, that to me was what was clear, even during the flashback scene in Wayne Manor way before Batman was created. It seemed like she felt responsible for him for the similar reasons that keeps Alfred by his side, probably because both had watched him grow up, and understood the pain and isolation he'd felt when his parents died. It's completely different with Harvey though. You can see she's very much herself, the way she can't be with Bruce. It's as though she's afraid if she let Bruce see a dent in the idealistic image he'd drawn of her, he'd fall himself. She lets that picture of Bruce in her car with a gun shortly after Chill's death, keep her on her toes. So as to why she kissed him in BB and continued to lead him on in TDK, she was probably initially afraid to let him know the truth in case it'd send him off on the wrong path, or it was pure indulgence and selfishness. Either way it's a good thing she's gone so Bruce can pick himself up and learn to stand on his own two feet.

"Oh **** we forgot to make her look anything like Catwoman!"

"Don't panic! What if...hey, what if we just make those little plastic blue light things pivot up onto the top of her head! There! Instant catears! Don't worry about it, they'll eat that **** right up and fall all over themselves to call it genius."

This again? :whatever:
I'm beginning to doubt you ever overheard this conversation at all!

Interesting how you've already changed up the reason for YOUR complaining.

First you said:

how in the hell can anyone base how well a character will be potrayed based on friggin "cat ears" ?

Which nobody has done. Literally. Nobody has said that the character will be "portrayed" poorly because she doesn't have cat ears.

We HAVE said that if she doesn't have cat ears, she doesn't look like Catwoman. And she doesn't. That's a fact. Several people on this board including myself feel that way, as well as several other well respected websites.

NOW you're talking about me complaining about how she doesn't look like Catwoman. Which is true. I am complaining she doesn't look like Catwoman. Because she doesn't. If she looked at all like freaking Catwoman, I wouldn't be freaking complaining.

"Get over it."

Anyone remember these Tonner dolls of Anne Hathaway from Get Smart?

I'm hoping that Tonner will put out a Catwoman doll when TDKR comes out. They already have the buck, although I wouldn't say Anne's likeness is quite spot on there. It would be cool if she comes with lots of different accessories (eg removable goggles/ sensors, a cat cowl etc) so that we can see the evolution of her costume from the movie.

I'm hoping the actual TDKR action figures will have Catwoman though, and that the likeness will be there. Wasn't there a 12" Joker figure from TDK that was less of a doll and more of a collector's figure and resembled Heath quite a bit? I don't really like the body sculpt or articulation (look at those ball elbows) of those Tonner dolls.

Hot Toys will no doubt have something.

Suitable company name for an Anne figure, right?

I'm positive, for the most part, Nolan will portray Catwoman's CHARACTER very, very well.

I'm not so positive, at this moment, he will portray how she LOOKS very well.

Here are some MORE definitions of portray since we're playing that game now and using definitions of words as the basis for our arguments.

1. Depict (someone or something) in a work of art or literature.
2. (of an actor) Represent or play the part of (someone) on film or stage.

Well lookie there.

Lol definitely. Was Hot Toys the company that produced the 12" Joker figure? Or was that someone else?

lol.. you have NO idea how fun you are.

I suggest you take it easy. Ever since I've been a lurker here, the word "portrays" is used for the characterization of someone. You're new here, but it's the first time TheBatman072 has complained about the looks of a character (CW's current appearance and Bane's voice) and not ONCE has he implied that this will ruin CW or Bane's characterizations.

Now, while I'm not really worried and I'm not complaining since both of those complaints have been covered by Ragnarok8's ninja (and I trust Rag8), this is a matter of trust and trust alone. The only thing we have on our hands as fact right now is the Selina_Kyle promo pic which truly looks nothing like Catwoman and the voice Tom Hardy used in the Heinz Field shoot, which I understand why most people hate.

So, relax. He's complaining about the looks and voice, has said nothing about characterization and "portrayal" is accurately used to make his point understood. It has been for the past 6 years.

Oh you're a troll. That explains it.

Sorry, no trolling.. just find your griping about "cat ears" to be annoying yet amusing. It's not like everyone isnt aware of how upset you are that there's a chance she wont have "cat ears."

:whatever:

Thanks.

But don't worry about it man. He's not worth even the very little effort it takes to tap some keys on your keyboard.

I appreciate it a lot though.

No you're a troll.

And you are more than welcome to the use of the ignore button.

Yes they made this one, and another one for the scenes where makeup was added as an afterthought.

Thanks. Their sculpts are outstanding. I can't wait to see the Catwoman figure, especially since I think Anne looks absolutely gorgeous for the part. TDKR might seriously challenge the Princess Diaries, Get Smart and The Devil Wears Prada (the three/four movies where I personally think she looks her best).

I don't usually buy any of the Hot Toys figures as they're pretty expensive, but I might make an exception here for Anne. The question is whether that's going to make me want an accompanying Batman and Joker figure too? Or at least Batman?

I think I could live with just Selina Kyle though.

Do their costumes come off by the way? :oldrazz:

Wow. Extremely mature response. I was willing to give you a chance by reasoning with you, but I guess you really are a troll. I hate it when TheBatman072 is right.
