The whole idea of her wearing a jackets just seems so against character. Even though Nolan has taken liberties with the costumes they've all reflected their comic counterparts pretty well in execution, the idea of Catwoman with a hoody just seems wrong.
This guy said goggles are unrealistic...*facepalm to end all facepalms*
X-Ray maybe.
Why would she need them?
Um, I don't know. She's a ****ing thief...of the night?
Night-vision sounds about right to me.
I've always thought about this as a very cheesy explanation for her using the whipKind of like Captain America with the trashcan lid as his shield.
There is no real functionality in the suit though. It's just a leather jumpsuit, that's it. It needs pockets or pouches, a sort of utility belt, some padding in places. That suit offers no protection. I think the official suit should not be 100% leather. It needs to be made of some sort of cloth, to give her more mobility, like kevlar.
Yup.![]()
You can't be serious.I think we're most likely going to get something like this, with a thicker less flimsy looking material and possible a few more seams and whatnot.
Doubt it would happen in the movie, but I think it would be pretty freaking hilarious if Catwoman's first on screen burglary was breaking into the Batcave to take one of Bruce's suits
Interesting, my personal taste doesn't like this but, I can see it happening.
I always imagined the top as being a very tight black leather jacket sort of thing.
I can see her being snagged by Batman and wiggling out of her Jacket and getting away.
And one piece always seems VERY deliberate to me, if she's just some thief who needs a get up it would make sense for her to go out and by some clothes that go with each other in black and put them together.
What am I trying to say here?
One suit, to me, seems too much like a costume
while two piece seems like a get-up
You can't be serious.
Considering the designs used for Batman, Ra's, Scarecrow, Joker, and Two-Face, you think Catwoman is the character they're going to copy exactly from page to screen? Not gonna happen.
I'd say expect the design to be more in vein of Black Widow's or Jessica Alba's Spy Kids 4 catsuit.
This is what I meant.

It doesn't seem entirely like it's just a get up. It seems kind of practical looking - to me, at least.
That's a lot better; though I'd be afraid an outfit that tight would have to deviate from cloth or latex and be more like Batman's armor.
The last thing I want to see are matching Bat/Cat suits; it takes away from her individual flare. Plus it springs to mind Batman and Robin pictures.
I know you said something like that which is why I was saying you can't be serious.I'm serious.
Again, I didn't say I'm expecting to see that.
I said something LIKE that. With padding and kevlar as somebody stated.
Even a few pouches, seeing as how Nolan likes to give everything a realistic feel.
I wouldn't mind if she somehow managed to steal a prototype suit from Wayne Enterprises.
Nothing about Arkham City's Catwoman's outfit is practical.
Could be a cloth/latex base layer, with slightly raised padding in the appropriate places?
Nothing about Arkham City's Catwoman's outfit is practical.
Yup, something along those lines. I mean, it would be one of the easiest ways to explain the similarities between her suit and Batman's
Explain how those seams are practical because they don't look it at all.
then of course we ask how did she get her hands on something so sophisticated.
I still think a good tight, small leather jacket and some flexible black leggings of some sort.
It would look home made but still have a fashion flare and be practical
I don't think there suits need to be overly similar. But, it would help explain how she manages to get the high tech suit. I'd be very surprised if the suit ends up being entirely home made low tech suit made out of leather or something. It would make sense for her to either steal an entire suit, or steal parts of it and create it herself. But I do hope that her's and Batman's suits aren't the same. Her's needs to have less plates than his, and be more of a two or three piece.
This is what I meant.

I'm honestly not a fan of that either.then of course we ask how did she get her hands on something so sophisticated.

I'm not talking about Batman, I'm talking about Catwoman. And regarding Batman, he's one of the richest men ever in comics, he has the resources where he never relies on practicality; he never did in the movies. To be honest, the very fact that the TDK batsuit has a cape makes it impractical. These are still costumes. So it still should convey an interesting visual look.
And it looks like a good costume, I never knocked the Arkham City one(other than her cowl being kind of stupid) but it in no way looks practical. And besides, all that really matters is that it LOOKS like it could be practical, on top of still looking like a good costume.
There's nothing to get into.I'm not getting into this with you.![]()
My mother has a leather jacket that if smaller would fit perfectly as a cat suit addition.
I don't think this will be a suit, it'll be a look made up of her clothing
