My penis joke was made as a point that if your going to make superficial remarks about her mouth weight, you should be under the same gun and open your self up for the same type of attacks..... Anne's body type (good height and figure) is one of the reasons why I think she came out ahead of the other actresses considered for the role (in addition to her acting skills/cred which I'm sure made her give an amazing audition, looks and star power). The ones that I figured probably came close were Natalie Portman and Keira Knightley who are (arguably) equal/close to her in terms of acting skills/cred and star power but Anne beats them out when it comes to the body type. Anne comes off believable as someone who can pack a punch so I hope she doesn't lose that and ends up looking as thin/frail as Keira or Natalie.

Indeed? I am unsure why you might think that. If Nolan wanted to cast an actress based on that criteria, he could have had his pick of dozens of other more athletic looking actresses.

I have always tended to assume that Nolan chose Anne because his Catwoman wasn't intended to be stealthy and lithe rather than combative.

Eva was one of my choices as well (she had that mysterious, dark, intense thing going on specially with her eyes) but I'm guessing that Nolan wanted to choose someone against type.

I agree that Keira's and Natalie's frames are too "little girl" (very frail/fragile looking) and that's why I think Anne was the best choice among the list of actresses considered (obviously with the other things factored in).

Sure but among those that he chose from, Anne looked the most believable to be athletic. Well, Jessica Biel probably was the most athletic but of course there were other factors which are probably more important like acting skills.

Nolan picked Anne because he obviously sees some talent in here that hasn't been used in a film yet. Just like with Heath, we all knew he could act, but Nolan tapped the hidden gem of acting that no one ever saw Heath do. I'm sure something similar will happen with Anne. Nolan is pushing Anne to her acting limits, making her go one step farther than she has ever gone. That's why I'm excited to see her in this movie. Her looks are just a bonus.

She's no skinnier than Michelle Pfeiffer was, and she looked great in the catsuit.

Personally, I prefer a more voluptuous woman, but her body seems to make sense for Catwoman. I know she's usually smuggling balloons in the comics, but logically it makes more sense for her to be of a smaller frame.

I love her (hence some of my old avatars) but I never saw her as catwoman mainly due to her lack of love for physical performances in a movie ! I always remember the fact that she hated to be hold by strings as Serafina in The Golden Compass !

Well with Anne I think she'll either stay the way she is now or gain a little more; I don't know why people were bashing on her weight before hand when she always had a lovely figure before hand.

And with Hardy, it kind of makes sense if he's putting on and off muscle; if the Venom has an impact with his muscle fluctuation, I can see how went from ripped at the end of April to right now. I have no doubts though, I know Hardy can build up on muscle quick if he has to; in Inception alone, he was in terrific shape as Eames.

I agree, Anne looks lovely to me. Granted, not a fan of lean women but Hathaway has always had curves. Don't know why people are complaining.

As for Hardy, I think so as well. I can drop weight and structure muscle mass at will. I have no fear in regards to Tom's shape so far.

Anne didn't lose any weight from her hosting the Oscars. Sadly I was hoping she'd put on some more weight, but oh well. She doesn't look sickly or anything, and while I'm sure she still has her curves, they're not really present in that dress.

Eva Green was never up for any role in any Nolan Batman film ever. Go cry about it and get over it already.

Marion, as much as I love her, is not the "real" Catwoman or the "real" love interest for Bale; nor is she Talia.

Keira Knightley and Natalie Portman have nothing "little girl" looking about them; don't be ridiculous.

Marion doesn't look any more "like" Talia than any reasonably attractive woman looks like any comicbook female. In fact, Talia's sleek, Middle Eastern looks are somewhat different to Marion's softer look.
