wow.

Hopefully they upgrade Oliies costume cause Roy's looks better than his right now.

A while back, Amell tweeted a image of him in Arrow-style trousers with a shirt & tie... The thing I didn't pick up until later is that the Arrow-style trousers were purple/black... Not green...

The key word is "offscreen." The handful of time that we actually saw him train, he sucked. That'd be really cheap/lazy on their part. The costume looks good, I cannot wait to see what Thea's "Dark Archer JR" costume will look like.

Well it was implied that he has been training the whole time until his rage meltdown in episode 20 right? Roy isn't the main character so they probably didn't want to waste time showing his training scenes when there were so many other things to show and focus on. Yeah, you can say it' kinda lazy but people make a bigger deal out of it than it really is.

Love it :hrt:

I hope that they explain how exactly he became expert archer guy in the finale. He went from barely being able to draw the bow back properly to being a damn good marksmen VERY quickly.

Why can't it just be offscreen and that's that? Everything doesn't need an explanation or need to be shown to us.

Not to mention they were fighting thugs with enhanced strength, it's not like they were all legit martial artists.

Simple, there's this fundamental rule in fiction called "show don't tell." And when you're expecting us to buy that he just became an expert archer (which is a difficult skill to master) then YES, you need to show it. Especially when all of the other times, you've drawn attention to how much he sucks at it. It's not a hard concept to understand, and while not everything needs an explanation, something this big and fundamental to his character DOES.

LOL he shot one bow and arrow correctly. That hardly signifies "expert archer." Again he isn't the main character, Oliver is. Sure the writers could have added one more training scene with him shooting a bow and arrow correctly but whatever. There was so much going in season 2. It was implied that he was training the whole time from episode 11 to episode 20, so I can buy that his archery skills improved, even if they didn't show it.

Ya I don't get why people are nitpicking it either. Because I just don't get where they get the notion that he is some great marksman now. He shot one arrow into a crowd of mirakuru'd up guys and we don't even know if he hit any of them. Now when the season starts it's been 6 months, which would make it what 8-9 months that he has been training. Which makes it completely plausible that he has gotten better with the bow.

Come on Loki. Read what these guys said.

Agreed. Arsenal looks great! Can't wait to see any new upgrade with oliver suit. I wonder if they will use a few elements from NEW 52

what kind of elements from new 52?

Nothing that'll leave the grounds of realism. Not like a fully collapsible bow. It'll be cool to see the arm guards in there though, and some extra weaponry. Maybe even add a little bit more armor in there but nothing that would restrict his movements. Just throwing some ideas out there. Although I highly doubt its they'll do it. Also reading the comics I'm so use to GA being sleeveless. Think they might bring that back?

so i think it's safe to say that GA will be getting a new suit...

and Ra's will likely be the primary villain

I still don't get this whole mantra of "This show is about Oliver so no one else should get decent air time to develop themselves" that some people have.

I have not read anything on Sin........the EP has not mention her at all....guess she won't be back...

I'm willing to bet that given on how we'll be seeing Katana and her husband teaching Past Oliver on how to further hone his skills in Hong Kong, that they'll be mirroring that arc with Oliver teaching Roy in the same manner.

It's possible that Roy's current level of fighting skills will be similar to where Oliver was around the time when Slade went crazy on the island and when Oliver first landed in Hong Kong.

anyone know how Oliver is able to see at night......he must have sharp eye to be able to fight/shoot arrows at night
