I was watching episodes of season 2 on Netflix earlier and it's just amazing to me how far this thing fell, and so fast. Felicity in particular was like a ray of sunshine to me in those first 2 seasons compared to now.

I re-watched season 2 and 3 not too long ago, and I found Felicity to be quite serious a lot of the time in season 2, and making much less jokes in season 2 than she did in season 1. I also thought she was funnier in season 3 than she was in season 2. The show started going downhill IMO after episode 9 in season 3, The Climb.

I literally think that for S1 and S2, Arrow was one of the best TV shows on, period. It fell really far, really fast. *sigh*

It weird because in contrast, Oliver has actually had a great character development through the series. The Oliver we have now is vastly different than the one we met in the pilot. We dont see that very often with network tv shows as usually the character regresses to where they were seasons ago.

Kevin Smith meets the Olicity fans.

Christ...

:lmao: The part about using the character on The Flash got me the most.

The olicity fans would riot if Kevin Smith became showrunner.

Good. Let them leave in a storm of hatred and frothing mouths. It'd be better off for it. Honestly, though, I'm not sure they even would care; Laurel's dead so they'll likely see their favorite 'ship win out in the end regardless.

What exactly is so bad about his post here? I love DC but even I can see where he is coming from. If they keep giving their properties to a network like CW and Berlanti production then this IS the inevitable outcome.

At this point I dont even come to the boards to catch up with what's happening with in the show, nope now I just entertain myself with news about psychotic tendencies of Olcity fans. Ben Percy, Simone and now Smith, someone should be breathing down hard on Guggenheim. Smith should direct an episode of Gotham and introduce Onomatopoeia there, Ono would actually be at home there and will be given maximum screen time + story to show how badass and dangerous he really is as opposed to Arrow where he'll just be a serviceable fodder of the week. Besides the character is more important to Batman anyway. Also praying "James" is not Prometheus, he's too cool to waste on Arrow.

It's not just his post here, it's a constant pattern of posts like it meant to stir the pot without doing anything directly ban-worthy, and using the signature to sneak in the trollish "Marvel Wins" into every single one of the negative DC posts.

Apparently, Marc Guggenheim made Katie Cassidy cry.

Seems legit, since if you scroll down, other users are giving additional story.

Get rid of this thrash, and bring in a new showrunner.

If true, then what the hell is wrong with him? That is an incredibly s***ty thing to do. Cassidy should've been one of the first to know.

With NBC's Blindspot moving to Wednesday at 8PM, Arrow might find space on my PVR next year(as I already watch Survivor as well in that timeslot). Should be noted Blindspot is a Berlanti Productions show.

Indee. If that turns out being true then it'll just be yet another issue in a long list of serious problems that this show has. I mean the producers have an unhealthy obsession with anything regarding Felicity and pretty operate at the whims of Olicity fans. Not to mention, their apparent lack of respect to the source material that they're involved with.

I'd say, as long as Guggenheim is in charge, just move everyone who has the potential to be great, over to Flash and Legends of Tomorrow.

This will never happen, but with now 4 DC shows on the CW, I REALLY think Berlanti and co. need to heavily consider reducing the number of episodes for each season of these shows. Yes, I know the networks order these episodes but damn 22-23 episodes is just too damn much. Its clearly taking a toll on the writers. Reduce the episode orders to 13-15 for each show. That way you have a higher budget per episode, more focused writing, more production time per episode, and you run less risk of oversaturation.

But that'll never happen.

I honestly wonder if the major cast members and even the producers know about how much hate (or at least disappointment) that this show has been getting as of late with the creative decisions that they've made, let alone on the infamous reputation that Marc G has been development online.

I think they do, since they promised twice now that the show would improve. And they wouldn't say that, if they hadn't at least heard a little bit about how disappointed the fans are.

At least some of the cast members know how the fans feel.

There's only one hero who can save this city.

I honestly hope that Marc G. has little to do with the other DCTV shows (Flash and Legends) because those shows are better without him being the main supervisor on them. Course Kendra's whole arc and usage in Legends for this past season smells of Felicity/Olicity.lol

It's both sad and ironic that I find myself enjoying the likes of Gotham and AOS better than "Arrow", which I had adored and loved for its first two seasons. I thought Gotham and AOS were just average shows, but they've really stepped up the quality of their products whereas Arrow's quality has significantly declined as of late.

Probably in limited capacity. Or the others involved, veto all of his dumb decisions.

The shows all have different writers... So the number of series shouldn't affect that.

I think the bigger problems come in when you have a show developed by EPs like Kreisberg and Berlanti, and then they move on (more or less) to create the next thing, and leave... others... in charge.

I think the stories would be much more coherent and tighter if they dropped the episode count significantly. Somewhere around 12 is enough time to build up a threat and dispatch it while building up larger happenings in the universe.

Looking at Arrow and The Flash this season I can see 8+ episodes that could have been cut, with the 5 minutes of plot development in each put in another episode without losing anything significant.

But ye, it won't happen at all.

I love how in their eyes, killing off Black Canary was warranted, yet you even like a pop culture reference that jokes about killing off Felicity, and it's an issue of misogyny.

Are these people for real?
