Stephen Amell said in a recent interview that season 5 is going to have a nonpowered villain and that the show may return to its roots. In seasons 2 to 4, they had to set up for the Flash and Legends of Tomorrow that may have played a part in its decline.

He acts as if the supernatural element weakened the show when it hasn't. Darhk is a better villain then Ra's who didn't have powers. Season 2 spent 2 episodes setting up The Flash but everything gelled well and we still had super powered Slade Wilson.

What was ridiculous about killing Laurel was that you killed Sara a year ago. if the roles were reversed and Laurel died a year ago instead. I'd feel the same way, it's the dumbest thing I've ever seen. It's like the title of Black Canary is equavilent to Kenny on South Park or a red shirt on Star Trek. It's just lazy ass writing, making death a gimmick.

I hope they get the right message from the low ratings and the criticism. They said they did last season, but this season was much worse, so they clearly didn't.

Yeah, if Legends and or Supergirl get better ratings next year, Arrow could be in trouble. I really don't think magic wrecked things more than Laurel's death and the stupid Felicity disability storyline

Yup, and that is a shame. Arrow at its best was better than both of those shows.

Interesting. I haven't watched the other two shows, though I do plan on checking them out at some point. For me, Flash at it's best was definitely better than Arrow, so that's the top of the CW so far.

You should definitely watch Supergirl, it is a good show. The pilot is not great, but it improves after that IMO.

I like both of them, but Legends is better. Supergirl took awhile to get going. Legends had Firestorm and the really hot Caity Lotz

Arrowverse rankings:
Flash Season 1
Flash Season 2
Arrow Season 2
Arrow Season 1, Supergirl Season 1
90s Flash
Legends of Tomorrow Season 1
Vixen Season 1
Constantine
Arrow Season 4
Arrow Season 3

Arrow needs to get back on the path of what it was doing in season 1-2. It was so freaking goooood. Now I find myself the past 2 seasons still enjoying the show and certain episodes more than others. But there's just a lot of non sense I'm ****ing sick of.

Yes, S1-S2 of Arrow and S1 of Flash are IMO the best Arrowverse stories. Flash S2 is just barely behind S1.

Did these guys have like 5-year plan/bible for this show?

Probably, at one point. I bet it got thrown out after S2. :oldrazz:

Hey, I just thought of something. Remember that scene when Damien Darhk had that ring in his mouth in prison? It never explained that, did it? We never saw that ring again, IIRC. It didn't give him powers (he didn't get them back until Andy brought him the idol), right? So what was it for?

I think, honestly that the writers had a completely different plan, then stopped and diverted it to kill Laurel out of nowhere. Have a very great day you and everyone!

God bless you! God bless everyone!

They had a plan, and I was looking forward to seeing that executed if it was like the first 2 seasons. And then they really started with the Felicity **** and the plan changed.

Even though it was a step down from the first two, I don't think season 3 was bad. I enjoyed more than I disliked about it. I don't know what people think of RT when it comes to TV shows, but it has 76% audience score and a rating of 3.5/5 from 1800 fans. I think that is fair. It wasn't great, but it was an ok-good season overall.

Don't know if posted here already, but the recent Arrow episode had the lowest ratings, with a 0.7 demo, with 1.94 viewers. This is the first time ratings went below 2m.
Guggenheim must be looking stupid, as he was claiming few weeks back ,that ratings are rising. Unless, he doesn't know mathematics.

It was already mentioned. Hopefully he learns the right lessons from this. They said they learnt from last season, but this season was worse, so there is a good chance they wont.

I know I shouldn't, but as a BC fan, this kind makes me happy  I don't think it is because of her exclusively, but as some were commenting on the other tread, a lot of things were going bad on the season and the death was like, the final straw....

Makes me happy too. The ratings reflect the quality and state of the show now. At this point, the finale will probably be lowest one. It'll definitely be lower than Season 3 one.

intriguing

I find the people complaining about Laurel for 3 + seasons are now mourning her passing

The drop in the ratings this week probably has a lot more to do with being pre-empted. Supernatural was down too.
