I'd rather someone watch it, and complain about actual points of the show; rather than not watching it and complain through ignorance.

So how will Dinah come about her powers on this show, is she already a meta-human or krypton freak?

Or she might not get the Canary Scream and just stick with straight up skill.

Also, a hint of Ollie having connections to the Russians? Hm...

So, I gotta ask, anyone else think this should have been 'Bat' instead of 'Arrow' or is it just me?

im sure people who enjoy it can complain too... but who the hell watches a show just to find things to complain about? sorry, that is dumb.

Maybe it is me, but i have never gone into any type of film, show, game.. just for the purpose of nitpicking against it.

:whatever: welcome to 3 weeks ago.

don't forget the pretty bird as GA calls her was originally depicted as a judo expert and amatuer detictive she was given sonic scream[s aka the ki shout from hell] when she moved from earTh2 the justie societys worldtoearth 1 with the JLA

Diggle was really developed this episode. We get to know his potential love interest and learned more about his brother, murdered by Deadshot (Another reason why I think Deadshot will be back).

What makes you think he has a thing for his dead brother's girlfriend? Did they say he was killed by Deadshot?

Solid episode I think, the Laurel beatdown rubbed me the wrong way though and why was Deadshot using a lasersight thingy?
Even though I think it's a bit too early for Diggle to know Ollie's secret it's gonna be interesting to see how they'll tackle it.

By the way, I really liked the wall-climbing scene.

The only thing that rubbed me the wrong way about that scene was the "I don't need your judgement, or forgiveness" line. That kind of unnecessary passive aggressiveness was right out of the 'Lana Lang' Smallville playbook.

Personally, I consider her character the only weak link on the show right now, mainly due to the way she's written and her storylines.

Dinah won't have powers.

Deadshot had "Andrew Diggle" written on his body although it could have just been another nod to GA:YO writer, Andy Diggle.

Did he? I totally need to rewatch this episode... too many things were going on in our house while it was on (dinner being prepared, a certain pain-in-my-ass 5 month old kitten finding all sorts of trouble to get into (including trying to get into said dinner) - and surprisingly that kitten is NOT the one named after the Norse god of mischief *sigh*)

Anywho, of what I did see, I knew Diggs was going to find out eventually, though I admit I wasn't quite anticipating it would happen in the third episode (well, by the end of the third episode at least). I like him, I really hope he sticks around and they don't kill him off. I agree with what someone else said a couple posts ago, hopefully with Diggs now in the know, the voice-over narrations can decrease even more.

Sister is still annoying as heck (though I realize she's probably supposed to be)... I wouldn't mind in the least if they killed her off and gave the tech chick (I liked her) more stuff to do *lol*

Oh yeah, and *fangirl moment ahead* I :hrt::hrt: the workout scene at the beginning of the episode. He has such a nice body, I love it when they show it off :oldrazz:

Can we not get an Arrow section on here so we can discuss individual episodes in there own threads?

Been from the UK we're two episodes behind n can't avoid spoilers if we want to talk about the show.

I watched the first episode last night. I was pleasantly surprised. There's a lot of Smallville's hokiness in there, a little bit too convenient at times, but they've injected a lot of Batman Begins-style groundedness, at times even outright aping Batman Begins, and it helps the show, imho. It knows that Arrow is not Batman Begins just as Green Arrow is not Batman. But it stays in its lane and performs well there.

Where it fails in terms of being a AAA quality show, it makes up for that in being totally committed to what it is. A superhero drama, a spiritual successor to Smallville, improving on all the mistakes Smallville made. Starting with a superhero, bringing in the DC Universe in earnest, giving us multiple cool fight scenes in an episode, giving us lots of intrigue and most importantly making people want to know as much about the story as they do the main character. It knows what it is and it pushes that as far as anyone has ever pushed it. Any comics character without a movie coming should be happy to get a show of this quality.

Also, as a black guy, it's nice to see a metropolitan area on TV with more than one black person running around. That little touch made me like the show more, honestly.

If anyone's most likely to die at by the end of the season, it's Moira. Look at her arc...and didn't both GA's parents die?

I must admit, after watching these last few episodes I keep thinking how awesome a return to the small screen Batman would be. Especially as an action/procedural type of show so his detective skills can finally be displayed the way fans have hoped for a while now.

I don't know. Batman doesn't use a bow and arrow, dress in green, or live with his Mother. :o

The cable was out in my whole neighborhood last night so I didnt get to see it. Now I gotta catch it on demand.

Decent storylines opened up last night. Looking forward to finding out more about the activity on the island, and to see what kind of relationship Oliver and Laurel's father will have. The Diggle knowing thing is bound to be fun.

They're overdoing it a bit on the voiceovers.

Laurel REALLY needs some characterization beyond being the girl who got cheated on. She's really becoming an unlikeable, boring character. Her and Oliver's sister are apparently just there to repeatedly spout the one issue they have over and over and over.

Deadshot was handled fairly well, except that he kept missing, and is...well, dead.

Good episode. Show is definitely a winner and falls well with the CW and DC fan base.

So do you guys like Hartley or Amell's GA voice better? -}}}--->

Is Beauty & The Beast doing bad ni the ratings ? The CW seems to be really trying to push that one

Just watched eps 2 & 3. I don't think anyone mentioned the "Nocenti" characters in ep 2 were likely named after writer/editor Ann Nocenti.

Also, I was surprised that they used a version of Felicity Smoak. A very random obscure non-GA related character to bring in lol.

You can watch episodes on cw website after they air on tv.

Great episode last night. No way Deadshot is gone.Loved the end part with Dig.I'm really starting to like that character. But his eventual death is almost certain.

It shouldn't be for awhile, he needs to serve the Alfred/Lucius Fox role. Plus it should cut down on those laughable voice overs.

I don't know (I rarely pay attention to ratings). For me, personally though, I'm having a really hard time getting into that one. I don't mind the guy that plays Vincent too much (though the explination/the way he's a beast isn't my favorite, it's a little too "Hulk"-ish, I think). It's Kreuk I have a real, REAL hard time buying as a homicide detective. They should've kept with the vein of the original and had her be an investigator for the DA's office or something.

Ultimately, IMO, it lacks the charm of the Ron Pearlman/Linda Hamilton B&tB

*end tangent*

I really REALLY don't want Diggs to die at all :(
