World Avengers Assemble! Animated Show - Part 1

Oh PLEASE tell me he dies and then is brought back to life by a single tear. Shed by Hulk.

i'll give it a chance. at least it is no teen titans go, so it could have been worse.

Watched the third episode last night and while I can't say that everything about this is terrible, it is certainly well below average. The whole cookie thing was just embarrassing, I mean I can see Hulk and maybe Thor scuffling over them but, but Black Widow should be totally above that kind of bickering. Mostly, this was a generic episode with generic action brought down by petty squabbling over baked goods. A couple more episodes like this and I am done with this show.

Not much to add about the 3rd episode that hasn't been already said, but yeah..........................

................not lookin' too good.............

Three episodes in and it feels as though the writers are holding back, like they're being forced to do things like the cookie gag instead of writing what they actually want.

I'm still hoping the series will improve as it moves forward. I feel there is a potentially better series in here, it just needs room to breath.

should have been on earlier today, but I completely forgot about it, as it's been a disappointment to me so far...

it'll probably be rerun later on tonight...

just caught it on the download...

other than some minor quibbles, this seemed to be the best ep as of today...

so after the first three eps being a bit of a letdown, this one was actually a pleasure to watch... so I'll give it a bit more of a chance, though it still isn't on the same par and level as Earth's Mightiest Heroes...

I agree, this episode was by far the best of the series so far and I'd even call it "good". There wasn't any "cookie" eating gags like the last episode and Doom was handled very well imo, much better than he was in the FF shows.

Not bad, certainly better than last week, but it felt like the end of the Avengers film, only with Doom in Loki's place and some tacked on stuff about Thor's destiny.

Agreed, although Hulk's dialogue was poorly written, other than that it was a surprisingly good episode.

Thor's little scuffle with Ulik was a nice bonus, it makes me want to see ol Ulik on the big screen.

This was a definite improvement over the three previous episodes, though Hulk's moments fell a bit flat and the action a little too close to the film's ending. The voice cast does a good job with what they're given and former Hulk voice actor Travis Willingham continues to do good work as Thor.

You know what this thread needs? This thread needs some Dread, friendly neighborhood SHH critic.

I felt that the Midgard Serpent ep was going for something. Something good, but it's all about the execution and it was just off, off, off, off, off. I mean, the animation felt almost unfinished, and the design of the serpent itself felt... Cheap? I can't quite put my finger on it but it seemed subpar to me. I liked a Thor centric story that draws from the myths, but I don't think he really got to shine. When Hulk got flicked away I thought "Ok, now they have to highlight Thor", but no. Also the voice work does not cut it for me. Pasdar is just not right and even if he were, the stuff they have him say either falls flat or is just dull. I am blanking on the name now, but the voice actor for Doom was also not good. I know that actor is a legend among VO artists, but he doesn't fit Doom for a modern cartoon. If anything, that is what this ep was. It's like a SPIDER-MAN AND HIS AMAZING FRIENDS screenplay was found and they "udated" it and changed it to Avengers characters. I was not totally in love with EMH at the start. I was just not fond of the character designs. But I loved the voice work and the writing, and the characters. Cannot say the same for this show.

I saw the new Episode and this definitely was the best episode so far better than last weeks.

Last episode was great and I thought Maurice LaMarche was a fantastic Doctor Doom. He had some nice verve going. Animation and fight scenes look great. Like that they actually have a populated city unlike TMNT and Beware the Batman.

Definitely an improvement from the first three episodes but still nothing too special. Doom is arguably my favorite Marvel villain so I was pretty happy with how he was handled. I enjoyed the ep but the show still hasn't really grabbed me. Still giving it a chance though.

This show is pretty enjoyable so far IMO. It's not as good as Avengers:EMH, but not every show can be near-perfection.

You guys will not believe it, I said I am done with Marvel but my sister recorded the episodes and made me watch them. And after I watched them I said "oh crap" now I am watching it.

I still stand by my words when I say the creators have to change, let moi animation animate their shows which they will definitely do a better job and get back into the comic book style story arcs and serial story telling just like EMHS.

But this show is very tolerable, it feels like MOA's EMHS episodes. And there is a subtle story arc here with the red skull and his cabal and the show is not childish thank god for that one.

Yes something like the cookie scene, red falcon being younger and the whole Thor Hulk thing, colors and none smooth fluid animations gets under my skin, but for the most part, it's all good.

I can kind of see why they wanted the fans of EMHS not to go, even some writers from EMHS are writing episodes.

People who have convinced themselves to hate the show are doing themselves a disservice.

The Hyperion episode shown at Comic-Con was ****ing awesome. Including the
Squadron Supreme cameo
.

See, now I have to wade through a couple hours of shows I probably won't like just to see that. SIGH
