I LOVE how the surviving heroes for A4 are mostly from the original team.

Cap, Iron Man, Hulk, Thor, Widow and Hawkeye (probably) are alive.
Plus Nebula, Rocket, War Machine, Ant Man & Wasp (probably).

We don't get most of the guardians, spider-man, Strange, black panther, Wanda or Bucky at least early on A4.

So it's basically the original Avengers back together for one last mission.
That's dooooooooooooope.

If they ever do reverse the Loki and the Asguardian deaths in the future, they really should go with kid-Loki.

My guess is that Valkyrie escaped with a bunch of Asgardians, so the community lives on. At least...that would be a reasonable explanation for where Valkyrie is.

People, how the F*** is Tony gonna get off of that planet??

Thor did say he lost half of his people, so I'm hoping that means she got the other half out.

I was guessing a similar thing.

You think that they would kill the character off-screen? After Lady Sif just disappeared with no follow-up? That would be disappointing if they chose to do that.

There's no way Valkyrie, Korg and Miek are dead. We're going to discover they secretly escaped along with a portion of Asgardians without Thor knowing.

Much like dealing with Aunt May's relationship with Peter after Homecoming... It's an important story detail, but not for the specific story this movie is telling. It'll be filled in by some other sequel.

Speaking of character fates that were filled in by later sequels, how bugf**k nuts was it to see RED SKULL pop up? I didn't need it, I didn't even particularly like it (he had a full CGI face and I don't think Weaving even did the voice)... but it was one of the most comic-bookiest things about a VERY comic-booky movie.

Just got back from seeing Infinity War, I loved it!

I must admit going in I was a tiny bit skeptical. I thought the trailers looked great, but I was unsure if they'd actually be able to pull this off. Also, I was a bit iffy on Marvel's past couple movies. They weren't bad in my eyes, just not my favorites. Turns out they managed to pull this off beautifully, the Russo Bros are freaking geniuses.

I loved the interaction between characters, especially the Guardians, Spider-man, and Iron Man. The characterization was spot on for everyone and the filmmakers really made the most out of them. I honestly don't think this movie could have been pulled off better than it was.

I saw someone point it out in a spoiler-free review I read before seeing the movie, but the overall structure felt...different than most movies. I'm not the biggest expert on film structuring, but it seemed different. It didn't feel wrong though, it actually felt very fluid and natural. I loved the pacing and the way scenes connected to each other.

There were a good amount of risks too. I mean, Banner didn't even turn into the Hulk during the final battle. I noticed several other things like this throughout the movie too. Honestly, the whole movie was one giant risk, and it payed off!

Random thoughts: I LOVED the Red Skull's role! We get to hear one of the songs that Star-Lord has on the Zune. I enjoyed Wakanda's role a lot here. Initially I kind of viewed Black Panther as a somewhat disposable film, but this made me realize it's importance in the MCU. It actually makes me want to see it again.

I don't have a whole lot of negatives, and the negatives I do have are more like semi-negatives, they will ultimately be determined by the sequel. This is the main one:

While I liked the ending and was fine with what happened, I honestly didn't find it that sad. The fact that characters like Spider-man and Doctor Strange are signed-on to multiple sequels means there's no way they're permanently dead. The fact that they'll bring those characters back also means the universe probably won't have that many lasting effects after all is said and done, which could kind of cheapen this movie's ending if they just reverse time or something similar. (Kind of reminds me of that one Doctor Who three-parter with the new Master.)

Some of my friends said they cried when Spider-man faded away, but I can't say it really affected me with this knowledge. (I will say that I don't get hugely emotional during movies in general). It's not necessarily a complaint though, because it does lead to a lot of interesting speculation about Avengers 4, and it was handled well. If they didn't have Thanos destroy half the universe, there would undoubtedly be far more complaining form fans that they ruined the story.

Overall I really loved Infinity War and thought it was handled wonderfully. In years/decades to come, I think this movie will go down in history as one of the big influential movies of Hollywood, alongside movies like Star Wars.

I must say I LOVE that Silvestri used Ludwig's Black Panther theme. I enjoy musical continuity between films, something this franchise has been lacking.

Thank goodness the Russos handled this movie and the next one. I don't think Whedon would've come close to bringing the amount of heavy gravitas and balls that the Russos brought with this movie and a movie with THANOS in it needed to have serious, no nonsense high stakes which the Russos delivered in spades while also sprinkling in good amounts of humor and levity (although there was a joke or two I thought went on too long)

10/10

Perfect comic book movie. Everything I wanted and more. Love that Red Skull.

I'm so invested in these characters. I cried a couple times.

My dad wasn't very happy that Hulk made little to no impact. He said he can't remember a time in the comics when the Hulk was "scared" to come out.

This movie has got to be one of the best all time. It got to me really. You knew it was coming but wow. Bring on Avengers 4

Simple opinion.

I think the only "resurrected" ones will be those who died in the half universe wipe-out.

I think the wipe-out gets undone.

Though I also think there will be new deaths in the next film, real permanent ones too.

Remind me who all survived. Thor, Rocket, Rodgers, Iron Patriot, Black Widow, Stark, Nebula, Banner. Who else?

...

Okoye, possibly Shuri and M'Baku. Think that's all of em.

Glad to see Dr.Strange and Thor doing work
finally my favorite heroes get their moments

This movie. THIS MOVIE. Marvel, I am absolutely blown the hell away right now. WOW.

Let's see ... What are the common complaints that lots of people have regarding Marvel movies?:

1. Poorly written bad guys
2. Too many jokes
3. Not "dark" or "adult" enough

Infinity War addresses those complaints and relentlessly does so. Thanos is easily one of the BEST villains ever put in a comic book/superhero movie, for starters. And while there are jokes, none of them feel forced nor do they detract from the tone of the film (which is shockingly dark for a Marvel movie; this movie is more for adults than it is for kids).

Ten years. Ten years ago, we got the first Iron Man, with the promise of an Avengers movie (which seemed like a pipe dream at the time). Then, when we all loved the Avengers movie, we were promised Thanos and The Infinity Gauntlet storyline. For six years, Marvel has been hyping up this bad guy to us ... And by Odin's Beard, Thanos has lived up to that hype. And we have an entire movie to go! One year is far too long to wait to see what happens next!

BRAVO, MARVEL.

Also, Spidey's death made me an emotional wreck. What a messed up moment. Broke my damn heart. I was not AT ALL ready for that.

What's the one song in there that actually has words in it? I forget the scene and if it's the only one? Lol...please help
