Batman: Arkham Asylum

^^^Yeah, doing that will help as well. Just try not to get stuck in her vines when she lowers herself and does her vine thing on the floor your on. Usually, if that happens I never get to beat her...so you have to dodge that.

Ivey was the toughest boss imo but not frustratingly hard, maybe when I play again on Hard it will be different.

I've put in probably 12 hours and am only 73% done. I love every inch of this game and am having a blast trying to solve every riddle.

I'd say my favorite part of this game is the Amadeus Arkham encryptions and listening to them. The voice actor is perfect as Arkham and it's just really creepy and cool to listen to them when you are just running around. GOTY so far for me.

Ivy was hard before I figured out her pattern. She sticks to that pattern very rigidly, though, so after you learn it she's a breeze.

make sure you use the quick batarang too when fighting ivy.

I'd maneuver myself into one corner just before Ivy starts shooting the poisonous balls, then start running to the other side. Some quirk of the firing/targeting rate and Batman's running speed make it synch up perfectly so that you can just run from one side of the screen to another without dodging or anything, and every single ball will miss you. Once the plant opens up and I'm sure a ball won't hit me if I stop, I quick-batarang Ivy, dodge the rapid-fire poison balls in the direction I was already running toward, and repeat from the beginning. I beat Ivy with almost full health on normal, and the little health I did lose came from having to fight the guards, which sometimes threw my timing off on anticipating her pattern.

did anyone beat the second boss battle/confrontation of scarecrow? I get to bring the second box down and hide behind it and then I don't know what to do? What do you do next? Help, please?:csad:

Fighting Ivey I would dodge left then right instead of one direction when she shot the poisenous balls and that gave me a split second to stand and aim shoot a quick batarang without even getting hit.

Another thing is I would run up to the poisoned-guards near the edge immediately after Ivey spawned them and knock them over the edge in 2 punches and be done with them.

The bosses aren't hard to figure out. Corpy just told you how to beat Ivy.

You know for being "the gotdamn Batman" he dies pretty easy from gun fire among other things.

I dont know how many times i can say this, or others can say this before you wise up. No, im not even going to go back there, just go back to your Spider-Man.

It does kind of suck that there is no comeback to gunfire in this game. Once more than one person is shooting at you, you really have no choice but to go up to the gargoyles.

Throw a batarang at em. That was always my first reaction if i ever got shot, toss a batarang then disappear to the shadows.

But what do you really expect, if mutliple ppl are shooting at you with fully automatic weaponry, what else is there to do? Batman doesnt have Spider-Mans agility.

Haha, look who you are talking to. Im almost positive he'll be back here to ask how to beat each and every boss. This game was just not for him.

nolon's roll'n
After the second box is used to hind behind from Scarcrow I think you just run, climb another ledge and run along a huge wall and fight more skeletons. Then you get to the (3) batman spot-lights where you have to fight off scarcrow and use the spotlights 1-by-1 to defeat him. You are close to the end.

And I usually suck at video games, mainly FPS online but I really had no big problems fighting any of the bosses.

Yeah, this game really just seems...not in his ballpark.

Perhaps he's an FPS guy?

So, who found the last boss fight disappointing? I thought it was by far the easiest and had more trouble in the fight shortly before it.

I wasn't a huge fan of it. It felt like it relied too much on waves of random thugs rather than actually focusing on the boss.

Yeah, it was too easy and a tad anti-climactic.

Only slightly disappointed and agree the one before was harder but it wasn't that bad, not bad like Gears of War 2 final boss..

I was pretty much prepared to use the usual tactics and prepped my Batarang and then he jumped away and send his boys after me.

I found the tanks in general dissappointing. They just swatted you away when you got too close to them so it came down to baterangs and sucker punching. I would have loved some mini-games thrown in like tapping X to release yourself from their grasp or counter or something. It especially would have been useful on Bane's back to actually pull out the tubes instead of just swiping them off. Joker could have been like a...3 level fight or something. Really take you through the asylum and tear down some walls. Using every trick in your arsenal to hurt him.

Scarecrow and Ivy were fine. Zsasz's hostage situations were interesting. Croc even at least had the whole stealth and avoidance thing going or he'd flat out rip you apart. The other brutes however were very, very basic.

That's very true, but at the same time that's kinda how the Joker is imo, he likes to sit back and watch or set a trap, he never actually does the fighting I guess.

I absolutely HATE what they did to Bane. It's bad enough that he is an underrated character and people think of him just as a big brute. I was hoping Rocksteady would be smart enough to make Bane closer to his comic version and make him intelligent. They instead went the Batman & Robin route

He could have stalked Bats and Joker throughout the whole game believing them to be the true evils of this world and take revenge on the "Bruha" for exploiting him.

On the other hand. Scarecrow is awesome. Too bad Cillian Murphy could't voice him
