Ratcatcher could totally work.

Well this is what Killer Moth looks like in the "Batman: Zero Year" cross-over event:

Personally i hope the last assassin is another women. 3 women and 5 men would be a good balance, would have preferred 4/4 but hey, what can you do?[/QUOTE]

Agreed.

next Friday is the launch release of Arkham Origins so I guess IGN will break out with there review next week.

Well that look would certainly fit in with the Arkhamverse.

I'm eager to see what the reviews will be like. I'm looking forward to it but I still have reservations that it will be too much of a rehash of Arkham City. For one, the gameplay looks pretty identical without any updates or accommodations for this prequel story with a Batman that's younger, more arrogant and aggressive. The grapple boost chronologically shouldn't be there because it was only a prototype in City but it's in this game under a different name.

Next week is also ranking time, since we would finally have more than 2 games in the franchise.

I remember them saying the grapple boost in AO isn't Wayne tech in a video once. So think of it this way what we saw in AA & Ac was a was supposed to be one of Wayne techs studying of this one . It's usually called something like reverse engineering as a way most Si -fi calls this stuff when someone takes a technological device and makes it their own mostly from alien or one that's more advanced than they are.

It's no different from what happened with the electric shock gloves in this upcoming game which he took from the electriccutioner they just have different' design and it's a few years later.

Arkham City is so awesome I'm fine with getting something similar to hold me until we get a true sequel.

The contradictions are silly but tons of games and stories have them. I'm not too worried about it. I just want a fun game to play.

I know the point is that Batman is supposed to be less experienced in this game but in terms of gameplay it looks identical to City.

However, it looks like there is lots of new stuff in this game. We get multiplayer for the first time. We also get things like the Batcave, Alfred, quick travel for the map, also some new enemy types that can actually counter you. To me there is enough new stuff here that makes it different from City.

There's a training sim room too for batman also. Don't forget that

Yup. But that's part of the Batcave as well.

But my main point is it looks like WB Montreal has tweaked and added some new stuff that doesn't make this like an Arkham City clone.

I mean old Arkham looks really cool. We get a much bigger sandbox this time. It's higher and all that. It looks great.

And I mean I was already impressed by how vast the GCPD building looks. It's like multi-tiered.

It wouldn't surprise me if some people gave the game a low score mainly because Conroy and Hamill aren't voicing Batman and Joker. Which has nothing to with the gameplay.

I have gotten review copies before and I tend to get them only after the game comes out.

If anyone ends up leaking the final boss battle like last time in this thread then I will empty my bank account, purchase plane tickets from Tasmania all the way to (presumably) the US, and deliver my strongly worded letter of disapproval, in person.

Two-Face=Badass, you really are going to just need to avoid the internet entirely over the next couple weeks.

People will have the ending up on YouTube the day this game comes out practically.

Oh, I intend to. Last time the final boss fight was leaked about a week and a half early, and I only just avoided it by some brave soldier leaping on the grenade and screaming 'SPOILER!' so everyone in the thread knew to run.

The good thing is Australia usually releases games several days early for some reason. I got Arkham City 4 days before the release date, and Portal 2 a full week.

The rehash tag will surely come up in reviews but I think Montreal have put their own spin on things. And the AA/AC model is what people like and have become accustomed to, so it's not really much of a minus IMO.

Visually, Origins looks like AA/AC but different. Can't really explain it. The electric gloves are very much their thing - they appeared in the Wii version of AC. They've added the crime scene reconstruction kit. And I do think the faster, rougher Batman is a marked feature.

You should go to Tahiti, I hear it's a magical place.

Was holding off on this due to next gen... But since Watch Dogs got pushed back til April 2014 it looks like this will be replacing that preorder and become my official last game of this gen.

These 6 months just flew in, huh?

Hard to believe we have just over a week until release.

I think we all know what our weekend will consist of after the 25th.
