I won't be getting this game until around Christmas. Too much studying on my hands and I don't think I'll have the time to just sit down and enjoy myself fully. Though in a way, it seems kinda fitting to play it around Christmas given the story and setting.

Tell me about it. I had this pegged for a GOTY wait from the start, given that it wasn't Rocksteady and they trumped up this prequel angle instead of laying into the numerous points to jump off from in Arkham City. Then, they had to go and put out all this kickass video and sell the story narrative while reinforcing the mechanics of gameplay.

I'm holding to my guns for now, particularly since I've got some existing game backlog to clear, but this wait seems like it's going to majorly suck. Curse you, WB Games Montreal.

Wow, Alot of people are doing what I did for mass Effect 2 and 3 (collectors editions )and Arkham city ( GOTY.) the latter was well worth it. Well hopefully not so many that it'll effect a early sales and send a wrong message to WBM . But this is interesting to see. Hope you all pull it off for waiting for the GOTY.

That's exactly what I'll be doing. I'm working on my thesis and I'll have Beyond to keep my occupied whem I'm free.
Like you said, Christmas will be just the right time to play this.

I Pre-paid my collector's edition 360 box set with the season pass @ GameStop. Next Friday I believe their is a midnight release

I'm kinda used to it. I learned to put up with it through both AA and AC since I couldn't get them day one either due to money and time issues (this time only due to time issues). It's almost become an every other-year tradition for me to waste Christmas break on Batman.

Taking it a step further, this specific Christmas more so than any other Christmas would be the perfect time to play this since the actual game itself takes place on December 24, 2013 (based on the calendar we saw in the first trailer). It might accidentally be the most we've ever felt like Batman due to that. t:

I had the same fears originally but I now prefer to look at it the following way: Worse case scenario, how bad can this game be? Even if it's not as good as either Rocksteady game, I don't think it's likely for it to be worse than the average superhero game we get in general.

For Ps3 I have the Collector's edition of Asylum and City plus Injustice also I have pre-ordered The definitive edition of Origins. In Australia all of these I got a few days before launch day because for some great reason they come in a few days early over here.
I aslo have the game guides for all these games and the comics that are releated to said games.
I also have the Bat shaped ps3 Arkham City controller and the game of the year edition of Asylum.
I just have to get everything to these games. I just don't feel right if I don't get everything to these games. I may have to get help!!

The Arkham Origins game is out on the iTunes store now. I'm gonna dl it and see how good/bad of a free game it is. It's about 500MB.

Downside #1: Stamina bar which makes the game a form of time-limited demo.

I hate when these type of games do this. Sometimes they do that and sell $$$ digital steroids to buff up your stats as well which is gross. At least give the option to pay to permanently remove bars and timers. I could get behind that.
