Batman: Arkham Origins - Part 7

Wait a second, you think Bane was completely wasted in Origins? Are you kidding me? Did you not play all 3 games? Origins Bane was the best of the arkham series so far. You must be joking.

He was the best, sure, but he was also quite underplayed and overshadowed by the Joker. We never see how he finds out Batman's true identity, so when that reveal comes, it's very anti-climatic and comes out of nowhere. They also could have done more with his assault in the Batcave. That could have been a great place to have the climax of the game instead of the unnecessary re-tread of the Joker and Blackgate.

Not to mention having him mutate into the dumb brute he is in the first two games just to be "consistent" was stupid. There's a lot of time between this and the first Arkham. We could have had regular Bane for a good while.

He never came off as overshadowed by the Joker to me. I thought the story treated them like equals.

As for how he found out Bruce is Batman, it assumed it was the same way as in the comics. He put the pieces together after studying him for a while.

The only reason WBM mutated bane with venom in origins is cause, I'm sure they weren't expecting to have any more sequel's done by them in the future, with that it was un asured .

So they started to close some chapters earlier then you'd like I can't really fault them for it. They are a studio that were made specifically for this task to make origins and what they did with that part of the story was most likely cause of that thought prior to the montreal government handing them money as well, and the fact this was made just to keep us all busy. Cause people from the fan base were demanding 3 come out now all out of in patience.

which I'm, really starting to hate to see of late. Too many gamers have this bad habit of late. it's the venom issue all over again with spider man 3.

Despite it being meant to be just an "appetizer", I think WB Montreal managed to make the game more than just that.

I really wish more people would go back to this game now that the glitches are fixed. I don't think AO would get an 9/10 - 10/10 score like AA & AC, but I definitely think it would be in the 8/10 - 9/10 range.

well some people did manage to give it a 10/10 and 9/10's befor the patch's and then there the 8's. it's too late now. when it's ported to the other newer systems we'll see the scores change it's still a great game regardless

I played it post patch(es) and I honestly think it's the BEST of the three. Not just in game play and story but I absolutely prefer this art design.

story wise, i think Asylum was better

City had a lot of potential but it was just too over the place. don't get me wrong, i LOVE the game but the story was just....meh

wasn't too fond of the venom/titan formula those 2 games either

i thought Origins had the best story of all 3 but didn't like that Joker once again turned out to be the main villain

I don't think it will be ported to the newer systems. I think the game was meant to be a last-minute cash-in before the PS3/360 generation ended (not a cash-in in terms of the quality but in terms of why it was made in the first place).

Heck, I think Rocksteady's next game will be out this year. It will probably be released around the same time as the animated Arkham film they're doing.

it kinda lags for me right before taking off in the Batwing when you want to jump to a new location within the city

I'm sure it'll show up, it'll most likely be through genkia with sony and Other's will fallow suit. And it'll be done after what you mention happens most likely. Now what it'll be called is another issue, I know it won't literally be called a goty.

I'm not talking about mechanics; I'm talking about choosing not to shoot him. A lot of times, I couldn't bring myself to do it. And when I did, it always felt really weird - even unpleasant. Having been a Batman fan my whole life, it just didn't feel right to me. Did anyone else have that?

that might be from you be a fan that loves batman as a hero you grew up looking up to and the fact your not used to playing villain period . only those that truly have the desire to do the latter won't have a problem with it


if there ever is a GTA version of batman Game made and you can play as the villain I bet those that have been playing the criminal side from years of experience in GTA will do that to the bat with out blinking.

I did say you grew up looking up to him killing one of your fave heroes, it's to some people like trying to kill your own family. you just can't do it for that very reason and then there's others of us that relate to them like Spiderman and the X-Men or the new warrior's cause they were teen heroes starting out and some of us grew up with them in a sense. that's the issue. in GTA most people you don't take the time to get know people before you waste them and the half is alot them are too scummy to care about with a few exceptions. well depending. any way I got burnt out on games like GTA a while ago though can't seem to touch them. might be cause I can't make my self do certain thins in them any more. might be cause o the character your always playing as.


I'm ok with sleeping dog's though. must be cause I get to play a bit of the opposite to that. but I did like the Toy box factor it has.

I found in The My Alibi Club some posters which state that there is going to be a party there on New Years Eve. Maybe its a location for the DLC?

I'm far from an insider..but I have a friend who works for Rocksteady.. He pretty much said expect a next gen Batman game this year and to look for "big things" at E3.

When's E3?

I wonder if they'll announce it before then. Batman: Arkham Origins was announced quite late I thought.
