Batman: Arkham Origins - Part 7

I wonder if there will be a day when DLC comes out like episodes of a mini-series where your experience with a game can go on for longer than a year or two. For example: Let's say they have Mr. Freeze DLC that has the episode and an overarching plot that continues into the next 2 DLC episodes so that the 3 DLC stories make a mini-season. That'd be awesome
There have been some games that have tried this in the past, but their publisher ether shuts them down( or most likely due to expense cause it was too ambitious at the time. ) or they just plain don't make it that far . That said some people have recently tried it, like Bio shock infinite(in baby steps) has been doing that with their latest Dlc there's the recent halo 4 with how they did their MP and then there's upcoming Quantum break which will be like that for most of it's game.

That's cool. Maybe one day it will be a profitable enough venture to continue along that path. Digital download games are becoming more frequent now-a-days.

InnerWarrior, I think Ubisoft basically did this with Tyranny of King Washington. I think it was basically released in three different chapters.

What's wrong with Mr. freeze dlc

I don't know Dick as Robin or Two-Face DLC would been much better. I wanted to free roam at Wayne Manor so yeah I guess this one is good enough. They want to cash on Freeze fight, which was so good in Arkham City.

Not a problem for me. That fight was awesome. Although I am hoping for something new. Maybe even two levels to the fight. A predator challenge like the last one and a straight up fight with goons getting in the way and everything.

I wonder when the GOTY is coming and when it does if they will port it to next gen. I skipped this game but would try it on the PS4

I'm tired of goons keep interfering in boss fights,It makes sense for some characters but it just annoys me cause you already fight goons and thugs in the story/free roam/challenge maps and now online.

Finding ways to do straight up fights with most villains would be nice!

Hideo Kojima believes that day may come. Making development more like a tv series, rather than a movie (ie: instead of having development cycles that last years, cut that down to last less time and get the stuff out faster).

This is just too cool not to post.

DC Collectibles have revealed there next addition to the Batman Arkham Collection.

Hideo Kojima is the man! Yeah, I remember when Sonic 3 came out and they cut it into Sonic 3 and Sonic and Knuckles because they wanted to release it on time and they didn't have enough room for it all on one cartridge. I thought that was awesome as a kid! haha And games have become interactive films in a way so the next step would be to make them interactive seasons and episodes which would be amazing.

Imagine the Batman comics as interactive "episodes" instead? That'd blow my mind!

Plus with the game developers already having the assets from creating the first "episode" like gameplay mechanic, character animations, etc, it shouldn't take as long to release a second "episode"

Whoa that figure looks awesome. It's gonna be ****ing massive too maybe as big or bigger than the Grundy figure.

Holy crap. Was watching an easter eggs and secrets video on youtube and came across two nods to [blackout]The Court of Owls[/blackout] - too awesome. Have to go back and see them for myself.

Really? I didn't know there were references to them in the game!

Haha, that's the vid I watched.

That guy may just be the best Batman Arkham player in the world.

Seriously. The things he discovers always surprise me.

Following on from my last post - Keep in mind... I just got a 360 last week, after skipping that generation (and not having played my PS2 or Xbox since 2007!) so I'm pretty out of touch and this could be a pretty stupid question.

... Why are their two discs in the Origins box? Is it just such a big game that it needs two discs, or is it something else?

As far as my progress, a few days ago I went up to the Joker's penthouse (and was freaking out that it was the end of the game coming all too soon) and beat Bane, did the 'walk around as Joker while talking to Harley thing' and now I'm heading to the GCPD to check out the morgue. How much of the story mode do I have left?

^ Disc 1 is the main game, Disc 2 is for the multiplayer.

And you're a over halfway through the story.

Yeah the Court of Owls references were neat. Doesn't really guarantee we will see them in a sequel though.

When one considers all of the Easter Eggs peppering the game (Black Glove, Court of Owls, Andrea Beaumont, and so on) it does not mean that they are guaranteed to appear. Sigmund Freud once said, "Sometimes an Easter Egg is just an Easter Egg."
