Yeah, agreed. I think the "Worst Night Ever" approach certainly works. But, man when they stack up like that...it winds up feeling like deja vu over and over. Expanding the storytelling over the course of a year, The Long Halloween style for example, could give them way more opportunities than limiting themselves into one long night. You'd allow yourself room to do something interesting like devoting time to Batman's alter ego. Having Bruce attend a charity ball, seeing his issues with attachment to people by having bad break ups with girlfriends or something.
Definitely. A longer view of the storytelling could mean more opportunities to take the story into place the Arkham games couldn't, by virtue of taking place all in one night. I'd love for that being one of the changes made to the next Batman game.
I'm not sure if I'd like WBM to be working on more than one game. I'm not sure if they're as big as Rocksteady, but they'd have to be quite large to be able to balance two projects. Giving the next team, whoever they might be, as much time as Rocksteady would get is important too, for sure.
Struck me as linear. There was a demo on PS3 that I got my hands on a few weeks back. It was promptly deleted. After getting used to the open world style, it will be a little hard to imagine his next game being more linear.
Is Origins Blackgate a linear one? I played a little of that one before getting annoyed at the stiff controls I experienced.

A lot of those glitches happen because of release dates and lack of time to polish and test game before launch.
I think I read somewhere years ago that the inclusion of that kind of affected the performance, so it influenced my list. If they can polish it, I'll openly accept it.10...eh i liked the Origins multiplayer to be honest.
Wasnt groundbreaking but i liked it for the idea.
I'm hoping for great announcements.2019 will be interesting, it should be the year where rocksteady or WBM announce their game...its about time if you ask me.![]()

That felt really off when I heard about it.I didn't like how the Multiplayer Mode in AO randomly introduced a teenage Robin.
If they can offer it as a combination of how you can switch between characters in Arkham Knight, and add the retro Sonic the Hedgehog style of making it possible to control the second character with player 2's controller it could be interesting.I wouldn't mind if they'd add multiplayer to the main game. Optional co-op that let's the 2nd player join you as Robin or Batgirl.
Say what you want about this game (and I know it had faults) but the introduction of the Joker was god damn flawless imo.
