Won't they be filmed at exact same time?
No the script for part 2 hasn't even been written yet.
Won't they be filmed at exact same time?
Did you say it before or after you saw the movie?
I meant the movie made more at the box office. Which for a sequel, is usually considered a success.
I had a cookie sale. Made 10 cookies. Sold them all. Had a second cookie sale. Made 50. Sold 20. Would you consider that a success?
So, BvS suffers the ultimate humiliation at the hands of Melissa McCarthy.
After. Always after. I never make predictions before I see a movie
Melissa McCarthy’s The Boss appears to have elbowed Warner Bros. Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice out of No. 1 after its two weekend hold, with respective industry projections for each title at $24.5M and $23.3M.
If Melissa McCarthy beats this then damn. I mean seriously? It has a worse CineScore and RT percentage, audience Score, and average score than BvS
People are just that desperate to watch something else.
It isn't too surprising. BvS probably left most people in the theater confused and depressed. Why repeat that?If Melissa McCarthy beats this then damn. I mean seriously? It has a worse CineScore and RT percentage, audience Score, and average score than BvS

A melissa mcarthy movie being number its debut weekend, who is surprised by that?
Because of my own feelings toward it's not really a surprise as much as it is sad in the pathetic way to me.
If this movie was well received by the audience it would still be number 1. And it's sad to me to see a movie with literally 2 of the greatest superheroes of all time getting this kind of result
A majority of this forum, go back to about a month ago, many claimed BvS would own the box office until Civil War came out. So yes, it is surprising although now that many posters are revising history, nobody will admit to claiming this....
They haven't. It sounds like Snyder will be given the green light to go ahead and direct JL1. Not sure about JL2 though. When will they ever learn?![]()
WB won't the opening week battle but ultimately will wind up losing the box office war... Not only did BvS suffer historic drops, but they won't be able to get prime release dates from their competitors. I am fairly confident that other studios will release their big movies directly against or the week after any future WB movies without fear, and ultimately this will end up costing them hundreds of millions long term..
If they give him JL1 they should give him JL2 as well. Let's assume JL1 is received like BvS and so they don't want Snyder on JL2. Would you really want to be the director who has to come i and clean things up in a part 2? You're pretty much stuck with the story Snyder set up in part 1 and probably have to keep similar tone, etc. Would be tough to make major changes in a part 2. Remember - we are not talking a movie and its sequel. We are talking a two part story.. very different beast.
Basically a new director for JL2 after a disspointing JL1 would be like going to the bullpen in a tie ballgame with bases loaded and nobody out.
Very true. Other studios gave a wide bearth to BvS.. don't expect that next time. Expect disney to have something big to release the week after JL1 and they have enough properties that will be easy to do.

..it seems like studios – and I think a lot of this has to do with social media. Social media is so quick to identify when something isn’t working. You know, on Friday night by like 6 p.m., whether a movie is in trouble. And I think you can’t hide anymore. You have got to show up with a great movie, or you are screwed. I think you are finding that it’s happening less and less, that something that is not that good is doing very well. It’s forcing everyone’s hand, and really pushing people to do very good work."
Pandya has a Sat jump. Now he projects 23.4. Down 54%

Yeah.Correct me if I'm wrong but hasn't Pandya been overestimating every time for this movie? Feels like it
