I was thinking the third movie can be based off this great graphic novel? Who here agrees?

WG has something of a rep for being a "bad Batman story". Personally, i think it's really under-rated...

If anything "War On Crime" would be better if we gonna use "War" in a title.

I admit I haven't read WG.

War On Crime is a much broader, less specific Bat-story. It's more about what Batman is... There's definitely stuff that can be taken from that story, much more so than War Games.

For example, the corrupt businessman Bruce Wayne ruins in WOC would be a good way introduse Roman Sionas in the next flick...

oooo never read that, is City of Crime any good?

Okay War Crimes then okay. Well if its gonna be a better storyline for the next Batman flick all hail to it. I never read that comic book. Is it a war between street gangs battling for control of Gotham?

I think some points of that comic can be included but other things like "too many heroes against too many villains" with their costums wouldn"t fit in Nolan"s vision.

Id agree on something inspired by War Games, along its lines, would definitely be cool, but man as for a straight up adaptation, im sorry , youre talkin about one ****** bat-epic. I mean ive only got two out of three volumes, and theres some great art, but unless the third volume is staggeringly brilliant above all other bat stories ever told, i feel comfortable ruling it as dispensable garbage. I kinda liked War Crimes, the epilogue story.

War on Crime, the oversize Alex Ross story, is not to be confused with War Crimes, Winick's epilogue to War Games

Well i think what i meant was have it be inspired by War Games liek you said Kid Dropper.

First of all.... Spoiler... i mean... :facepalm
Then, did batman leave any mob bosses running around at the end of TDK? No, then how is gang war gonna erupt? Batman cleared the streets. The third movie should focus on him cleaning his name and generally his role for the whole city and what he means to them.
No more politics like TDK, just give us the goddamn batman on the run. And Bruce Wayne of course. And how about Matches Malone as a disguise for Batman to operate while he is hunted?

I remember a Morrison issue where Gordon arrives at a crime scene and the cops tell him that there's a new agent there who just got transferred. When he gets there furious at how they let the new guy in his scene, the guy says: "Dark night eh commissioner?"

Freak mobsters they takeover. Plus Maroni proably still alive and their proably some mobsters left to takeover.

Who Matches Malone?

Yeh that room in the beginning of TDK was full of bosses who's fates were never addressed, youre telling me they all fold up and leave town, especially now that bats is on the run, the crusading d.a. is dead(both of em actually) , and the joker is in the pokey? It'd be free reign for the mob all over again. come on!

Its a persona that Bruce uses to go undercover as a homeless guy and whatnot.
Also, i think that in War Games he turns Malone into some mob leader. Werent you suggesting War Games at the start of the thread?

Change mym ind. Decided to go with War Crimes since it would help the storyline of Batman 3 better.

P.S. actually Gamble got killed by the Joker.

Maroni may or may not be dead.

The mob who Two-Face met at the bar proably lived.

The Chechken i believed was killed by Joker's men.

How many mobsters were in TDK. See their is enough to have a mobsters in the film. Cause none of them except Gamble fate was really determined.

I guess the rest is in prison.

Wait, I thought all the bosses got killed? Chechen and Gamble were killed by The Joker and Maroni - apparently - dead in that car crash by Dent. So then the remaining men either fled or joined up with The Joker.

So unless one of them didn't die or someone else take's control, the mob really isn't so strong...

Gamble was shown being killed the others were not.

Also Maroni could of survived the car crash just be crippled. And i doubt the others would join Joker.

Also the mobster who Two-Face confronted in the bar we do not know if he got killed. So their can still be some mobsters left. And with Batman on the run they can start doing things and get money.

If that's the case, then Rachel technically could've not died and is simply suffering from a very bad hair day... :cwink:

No, but I see what you're saying. I just led myself to believe that they did infact die. Even if they weren't, that's still quite a toll put on them. So the mob isn't absolutely out of the picture, but I doubt they are as prominent as they were in the beginning.
