The Dark Knight Biggest Disappointment - Part 1

My biggest disappointment was the death of Two-Face.

Oh, c'mon. Not another major villain killed off. And he would be such a great villain for Part III.

Hopefully in the reboot we'll see the "real" Two-Face. Not that cheap Joker rip-off from "Forever" and not the "I just became a villain -oops - now I'm dead and nobody in Gotham ever heard about me"-Harvey from TDK.

I don't have any HUGE disappointments with the film, but if I had to pick something it would have to be the boat scene at the end with the citizens and inmates. I felt they spent too much time on it. Other than that, the film was solid.

So basically you hated the entire movie :woot:

He liked it more than me. I'll add poorly done action scenes to my list and Jokers city wide idiot creating field he apparently generated.:cwink:

I thought Harvey Dent was a fantastic character pre-transformation, and it all went to **** when he turned.

The problem with featuring the turn of Harvey Dent in one film is in the Long Halloween it takes place over the course of a year, not based on one event. It's really hard to show that in a single film.

They could have shown that in two movies.

I'd agree completely. I mean, if you're goinmg to reduce a character like Two-Face to a portion pof a movie, it has to be totally and absolutely spectacular and intense. IMO, it was. I think that's the only reason I haven't even thought of complaining about it.

Easily my biggest disappointment was Two-Face dying at the end after only existing for about 20 minutes. He should have had a movie of his own as a primary villain.

I was also disappointed with Scarecrow having such a quick insignificant cameo.

I agree with both.
I was expecting Dr Crane in full Scarecrow mode with a complete costume. And I wanted him torturing some people with a new version of his fear gas just for the fun of it. Something like that. And not a simple drug dealer wearing a burlap sack. To me "Batman Begins" was also some kind of "Scarecrow Begins" so I was very disapponted of what Nolan has done with him in TDK.

My biggest problems are with Harvey's portrayal.
Firstly, the ridiculously over the top burns they went with, while speaking normally with half of his face and mouth missing. Also, the total absence of his split persona and the limited screen time he got. Although I give them credit for the coin inclusion and its proper use in the context of the movie.
And what's with that scene when he is in the car with Maroni, he buckles off and shoots the driver. Um, how the hell did he survive after the car flipped over?

He didn't buckle off, he buckled up with the seatbelt, that's how he survived the car flipping over.

The biggest disappointment for me was the Joker's laughs, only like three and they were terrible, the commercial had better ones

what was your biggest disappointment?

I agree, though I don't Think they were terrible, but I was pretty disappointed in the laugh.
