The Dark Knight Biggest Satisfactions

"All your strength and you have NOTHING to threaten me with"

was a personal fave.

Fantastic line, fantastic delivery.

The whole hospital sequence -- Joker and Dent's conversation, Nurse Joker, Nurse Joker's walk as he blows stuff up...

The only part that's a misstep is that Dent doesn't react until Joker pulls his mask off. I mean, come on -- the part of Joker's face and makeup Dent could see was enough to let him know who it was before the "reveal."

But I love that sheepish "Hiiiiiiiii...."

Two-Face's reveal, most definitely. My abstinence from spoilers and anything related to the character really paid off there.

Indeed! I did not google or search for anything Bat related because i didnt want to spoil the movie. I wanted to be suprised!!

but my favorite part is the interrogation room. my FAVORITE part hands down.

interrogation room

Joker's speech when he's hanging upside down. It perfectly describes the relationship with Batman and Joker over the years in the comics.

Gordon's speech at the end of the film.

Joker's Laugh. I know some people complain that there weren't many of them, but there are actually quite a few if you pay attention and they are perfect. That laugh at the end of the Brian Douglass/fake Batman video? Fantastic.

Everything else about the Joker. Costume. Make-up. Lip licking, excessive saliva sounds, physical tics, lines, everything. Thank you, Heath.

Gordon. His meaty role, great lines, and Oldman's spot-on performance.

Harvey Dent. Not only was Aaron Eckhart wonderful (and gorgeous too), giving the character vulnerability as well as heroism, but the character was so perfectly written. You absolutely feel heartbroken about what happens to him and you care about him so much that, even when he kills, you feel more pity for him than anger. I can't think of him as a villain.

The Bank Heist. Perfect way to start the film, so well edited and so exciting. The Joker hiding behind the clown mask and taking out all his goons... great stuff.

The cinematography and look of Gotham. Again, I have to use the word perfect.

Bale. Is the ultimate Batman and Bruce Wayne, in my opinion. No doubt about it.

Wow, sad to see that this thread is shorter than the ''Biggest Dissapointments'' thread. Oh well.....

One of my favourite things was that there was a healthy dose of scenes with a bunch gangsters firing guns at Batman. I like that. I also liked all the fight scenes. The punches were so deliciously loud. :D

Even though I had heard that Heath's performance was amazing, I never could have prepared myself for how amazing it was. Definitely my biggest satisfaction after walking out of the theater.

Batman at the club.
Batman owning Joker, Two-Face, and Maroni.
The Batpod.
Skyhook.
Bruce Wayne pwning that thug.
Any scene with Bale as Bruce Wayne or Batman.

Maybe the biggest satisfaction were how surprisingly good Gordon was in this movie. And of course the biggest surprise of Eckhart's performance.

And of course there's no forgetting Mr. Ledger... :D

Pretty much the whole movie.

Joker's video ("LOOK AT ME.")
The pencil trick and that entire scene
Batman doing detective work and the club scene
Any moment Batman and Joker shared a scene (gave me chills)
The transformation of Harvey Dent
The way the whole city was in fear of the unstoppable force of nature we call the Joker
The return of Jim Gordon
The score

When I see the Joker, I do not see Heath Ledger.
When I see Batman, I do not see Christian Bale.
When I see Gordon, I do not see Gary Oldman.

All three of 'em completely dissapear into those role. And that's what acting is all about.

Oh, and luckily; When I see Alfred, I DO see Michael Caine. But that's half the fun, if not all. :D

 Agreed.

:up:Same here, imo he matched and maybe even surpassed the unbelievable pre-movie hype that was going on for the Joker (no small feat).
My biggest satisfaction is to have seen the Joker done right on the big screen in my lifetime. Thank you Nolans and thank you Mr Ledger.

The Joker's unexpected twists of plots, I'd never could guess what's going to happen next. Joker's sudden change of voice when he screamed 'look at me'
Batman's batpod stunts , The truck flipping over.
The way the joker was introduced to the audience , that bank robbery scene was rich.

Same as Batman Begins, the very end nearly gives me chills and I doubt it has any affect on most.
Gordon says Thank you, Batman says its not necessary. I don't know why, but I love the selflessness of Batman and those lines make it clear to me.

i was satisfied that the Batpod was actually ****ing awsome. the tumbler was a kind of letdown in BB, but the batpod was insanely awsome. even the batmobile looked better in TDK, especially when the bazooka blew its back and it landed, that was unreal, when i saw it in the trailers i was like WHOA. the truck flipping over was......wow. i cant believe they actually they did that for real, i hope theres a BTS segment on the DVD for that.

the whole movie was all around better especially cuz i limited my viewing of trailers, clips, etc. i went as spoiler free as possible and was pleasntly surprised how good it turned out.

The biggest satisfactions for me were the little attentions to detail that Nolan put in. Like Bruce throwing his champaign out of his glass over the balcony...just nodding to the fact that he doesn't drink in the comics.

And i loved LOVED LOVED the line where Heath says, look at me, LOOK AT ME!!! Really showed off Joker's rage well and how he can snap in and out of being humorous.

The opening scene with Batman. He gets bitten by a dog and keeps goin'. BAd ASS.

The night club scene. Strobe lights. Pounding music. And the Batman kicking ass.

The Maroni scene on the balcony. Fall wouldn't kill me...I'm Counitng on it...Simply bad ass.

Joker in the semi, firing at Dent's armored truck...Bad ass

Batman on top of the Sears tower..in IMAX it is KICK ASS

JOKER.

BATMAN FIGHTING AT THE PENTHOUSE..COOL

Seeing two of the best Batman villians share the screen with each other

Two Face

And

Joker

The biggest satisfactions for me were Heath as the Joker, the scene where Batman asks Gordon to give him a few minutes alone before the officers contaminate the scene.

One of the things that I loved the most was the scene near the end where Batman is in the building trying to get to Joker and save the hostages.

That scene for me seemed to be the first time in a live action Batman film that they had him doing multiple tasks at once in a small frame of time.

It was just great and had me pumped and smiling. In a small amount of time you had Batman taking out goons, saving hostages and taking care of the SWAT members trying to get to the Joker in one action sequence. It was something I've been waiting to see in a Batman film for quite a long time.

Usually it's Batman handling one thing at a time in his action scenes but in TDK they finally show the audience just how much of a badass he really is.

Although he did have help from Lucious with the sonar device, it was still full on Batman under pressure and making split second decisions and I ****ing loved it!!
