As a life-long X-Files fan, I can honestly say that the new movie was just ****, Batman or no Batman...

Of course, Fox didn't help by releasing this ****ty movie a week after Batman...when it by no means had any business being released during the summer blockbuster season. It was completely doomed from the start, regardless of quality.
