Clone Wars "Bonus Content"

So
Wow, so Order 66 was explained. And honestly, it makes me feel a lot more for the Clones. A chip that causes them to immediately turn. so they were as much victims as the Jedi, and would never know it. And the Kaminoans, despite having to install the chips and make the programming, are far more in on the plot than the films ever made me assume. This was some damn good writing.

I'm really happy with what we were given! The Order 66 and Yoda arcs were both strong, but I also enjoyed the Clovis arc (always happy to see my boy Embo, and I thought the Anakin/Padme interaction was strong). And while the Mace/Jar Jar episodes probably should have been condensed into one, I still didn't mind them as much as I thought I would. Not necessarily good episodes, but not putrid either.

I'm really going to miss this series, and I hope we find out the ultimate fates of characters like Ahsoka, Asajj Ventress and Cad Bane at some point down the road, in Rebels or elsewhere.

I'm honestly kinda surprised as of Friday.
I mean, I always figured Order 66 was a genetic function that made the Clones kill the Jedi against their will. Sure, Lucas showed no internal struggle for the troopers in RotS, but I never took it as the Clones just being sons of b**ches and turning on the Jedi, no questions asked.

Excellent episodes to wrap up Clone Wars!

A quick note on the Mace/Jar Jar arc: I was surprised how entertaining this actually was. They handled Jar Jar well and it was fun seeing Mace put in the role as Jar Jar's servant. It also served to wrap up the [BLACKOUT]Dathomor witches[/BLACKOUT] arc.

Also, definitely got a Temple of Doom vibe. :woot:

Regarding Order 66

I had always assumed it was something the Kaminoians programmed in during the cloning process. I thought it would be something along the lines of something deep subconscious. Nice to get confirmation that it was something implanted early in the cloning process to aid in Sidious's plan to wipe out the Jedi. It was also good they they addressed Sifo-Dious, a plotline that was totally dropped in the prequels.

The only problem I have with these episodes is

they give the Jedi this many pieces of the puzzle, it makes them look worse that they did not see this coming. I have to rewatch it and see if the idea that the chip was there just to make them more docile than Jango was a strong enough answer for the Jedi.

And Yoda, being my favorite character, I loved the final episodes!

The info they gave about the Force was interesting. The whole Living Force thing brought up in Episode I now makes sense to me. And I liked how they did not shy away from midochlorians.

Also like reference to Yoda training Luke that will lead to balance.

It was also nice to see Yoda, Dooku, Qui-Gon, and Obi-Wan all together, even if it was an illusion. In fact, alot of this felt like it was the Clone Wars crew wanting to take a final stab at animating stuff from ROTS, like the Dooku vs. Anakin & Obi-Wan and Sidious vs. Yoda.

And the final scene/shot was very hopeful, chilling, and bittersweet at the same time. Can't wait to watch a marathon of TPM, AOTC, Genndy's Clone Wars Season 1, Clone Wars, Genndy's Season2, and ROTS! And then might as well continue to ANH, TESB, & ROTJ and get ready for Episode VII! :cwink: :woot:

The fights of Season 6 were also phenomenal. Very visceral and, at times, vicious.

I've been re-watching the series in chronological order and it's amazing how much better the animation is in the newer episodes compared to those from the first few seasons.

I'm assuming everyone caught
Mark Hamill voicing Darth Bane :wow:

Well I'm about to sit down soon and start watching season 6. I've heard good things, season 5 was so good glad to hear this kept up with it.

Yeah for the most part you won't be disappointed.

Getting started, I'm so excited... but sad this is the end.

Yes! Loved that lol.

I just finished watching, and i'm speechless. I'm gutted all over again this show ended lol, but what an ending!:hrt::up:

Loved the bits of info we got from these episodes, from Order 66 to
what Sifo Dyas looked like!
Didnt dark side Yoda remind anyone else of Gollum? I couldnt stop laughing at him lol. Of course, the icing on the cake are the Yoda episodes. Such depth there. I'll have to go and rewatch everything all over a few times, just to have a coherent conversation about the content, but i'm more than satisfied with this ending. Was everything i wated to know revealed? No, but that ending was so epic, yet so sad at the same time.

My god, i love this show. I really hope Rebels is ready to fill the void CW left in me, and be warned: it has a tough act to follow.

Well most of the magic by Dave and his team is what made TCW so great. So I have confidence that they will continue making great stories.

Yes, most definitely! Loved that part,
acknowledging Yoda has a dark side, but he refuses to let it control him.

Agree with all of the above.

It might be discarded though as all Expanded Universe materials are being wiped out by Disney.

In my defense, yes most of EU might probably be bad as I haven't read all of them, but it's the continuity I have accepted and invested my fandom into during the Star Wars dry years, with Wookieepedia filing in the gaps and events from the books and games I haven't able to read and play. It feels to me like it's the town's minimart that you don't regularly go to but you have become familiar and comfortable to it just being there as you walk past by it but is gonna be shut down due to an upcoming Supermall.

Indeed, i love that.

I also enjoyed how they incorporated the midichlorians. I know some people here hate them lol, but i like how they put them in.

To Fans of Star Wars: The Clone Wars: Thank You

The Clone Wars “Lost Missions” made its debut on Netflix on Friday, and in honor of that fact I thought it was time for a new blog post, specifically for everyone who supported the show.

Growing up a Star Wars fan I dreamed of what the Clone Wars were like, but I never dared dream I would be lucky enough to be a part of the telling of these stories, with some of the most creative and talented people I have ever known.

As a small token of thanks for all your support, I thought you might enjoy seeing some of my sketches from one of our last Clone Wars writer’s conferences. I love theories, and I am sure you will have many after seeing these images.

While we weren’t able to tell every story in the Clone Wars era, there is plenty to look forward to. Every day there are amazing new Star Wars stories being developed here at Lucasfilm. I guess my intention here is to encourage you all to dream, to imagine, not just what these stories might have been, but what the possibilities are for other new stories which have never been told before. And maybe the person who tells those stories will be you. I hope you have enjoyed what was, and what yet might be, a long time ago, in a galaxy far, far away…

The Force will be with you…always.

Dave Filoni

P.S. I have to give you one spoiler because I know it meant a lot to some of you. [blackout]Yes, Echo is alive.[/blackout]

Thank you, Dave. And everyone that made this show a heck of a ride :applaud

So I did a marathon the final episodes, I thought the Clovis and Jar Jar/Mace episodes were okay(the fight between Talzin and Mace was awesome) but the Order 66 and Yoda arc were definitely the best! My favorite was seeing Dooku, Qui-Gon, and Obi-Wan together and then the vague reference to Luke.

But all it has done is it make me even more upset the show was cancelled!

I enjoyed how they pretty much tied up loose ends from the movies (though it would have been nice if they actually did it in the movies). And then Lucas puts a bow on it with the episodes that explain the nature of the Force.

I need to rewatch those last four episodes to absorb everything. I wonder if there are any clues as to what is in store for the Sequel Trilogy! :woot:

Well no this is the actual story by Filoni and if i remember correctly will be printed under the Marvel banner and since it was a Clone Wars story it will be canon as Clone Wars is canon and EU is not by order of Lucas.

Well actually Lucas viewed EU as canon, a different level but he had guidelines and control over the fate of events/characters. Such as telling comic/book writers to not kill off Quinlan Vos as he had intended to have him appear in SW Underworld.the new Lucasfilm and Disney seem to be changing that.

The Darth Maul comic is by Dark Horse, Marvel doesn't take over until next year.
