Blader: Not anytime soon.

I actually agree with you, only because they are quite ahead with doing these arcs...and aren't gonna throw it all out and waste it all.

Sadly, i'm afraid the longer this goes, the worse long term damage it will cause to many long term fans who are leaving, due to the blatant slap to the face it is.

Kinda like the BASEBALL STRIKES of past...fans don't always come back, AFTER WASTING THEIR TIME AND INSULTING THEM.

I mean, I WANT Spidey to recoup, so we can have comics that make sense and don't ignore every characters rich history and continuity. So, sooner than later, will be healthier for Spidey comics, for sure.

I believe Slott just said he's currently writing the third part of "a huge story" (involving old Spidey rogues) that will be released late next year.

If BND is retconned, it will probably be in ASM #666 (for obvious reasons) or in ASM #700, which would coincide with Spider-Man's 50th anniversary.

Yeh, i think you're prolly right.

I just want to read (good) spidey comics again SOooo bad...because he's my favorite, ya know...?

We're just on different sides as to OMD/BND being good or not....but we're both on the same side of lovin' Spidey.

"Maybe, I wanna see how it goes, could get better."

there should be an option that says "No, I wanna see how it goes, could get better."

im going to continue reading spider-man, and as horrible as OMD ended up, itll take more than that to get me to drop the character/company all together.

The thing is, I don't consider OMD and BND to be the same thing. While OMD was a poorly written and poorly conceived story, BND is classic Spider-Man right down to the letter. Just going off ASM #546, I can tell that BND (or at least Slott's BND) are those good Spidey comics that you mentioned.

Yeh, well, I am glad you personally like it.

I see OMD/BND the same thing, because they are. BND is just the continuation of OMD, and furthers the (bad) concept on.

I would like to read Amazing again very badly, but they should be calling this Alternate Spidey, because that is what it essentially is. The fact is, that if Joe had wanted to UNITE the fan (customer) base he easily could have done that, just by not furthering his agenda.

Everyone would have been happy with Slott writing and bringing back supporting cast and web shooters and all....and this ALL could have been done witht he marriage, and without a dippy devil-dealing origin to it all, and continuity mucked up.

This is simply giving up, trying to erase crap and admitting that you painted yourself in to a corner. That's as weak as it gets and I really don't want to pay to see the consequences of this turn of events. I'm just dropping the Spider-Titles for a while. I'm sure I won't be missing much. If I do, I'm sure they'll just have Clarence the Angel wipe it out and they'll start over again in a few years anyway.

Hard to believe, I'm back issue only in regard to Spider-Man. I've never read Ultimate and I refuse to buy this crap from now on.

After everything Joe Quesada has done w/ Marvel as the editor, like not having MJ as the love interest anymore among other things. this is one Spidey fan (although not really a fan of marvel as a whole that is FED UP)...........

A lot of you may be die-hard spidey fans, but really a lot of things CREATORS are doing is ridiculous!

YOUR THOUGHTS ANYONE????????????????????

I've been boycotting the 616 Spider-Man books since One More Day....and I haven't looked back.

Yep...i'm waiting for this experiment to end so i can collect the spider-man that i loved, since the beginning. I am not sure who this alternate devil dealing hobo is really.

We'll have regular spidey back, it's only a matter of time, and all will be fixed. :yay::csad:

I'm not boycotting Spidey comics. I hated OMD, but I will live through bad stories and as I have said, I really am enjoying BND.

OMD/BND are the same thing.

BND is the continuation of the OMD concept and foundation.

Sure, i didn't like Sins Past at all. But every issue after was not about THAT world....a world altered and changed by Gwen sleeping around with dadda Norman.

The stink of OMD is present in every issue of BND...because it is the WORLD OF ONE MORE DAY. I personally find that i cannot escape that, because it is a fact.

If every issue after Sins Past mentioned it and related back to Sins PAst...and it became a Sins Past-centric series delving into Gwen and Norman 3X a month...following their heritage and lives...it would have been a very bad thing you couldn't have ignored.

BND merely continues the saga of OMD forward. It moves OMD forward.

I stopped buying the Spidey comics months ago.

I'm not gonna boycott spider-man. It is still fun for me to read (well, maybe not the freak arc...). I still like to read it, and spidey is one of my favorite super heroes, so I will keep on reading his stories.

I've always thought a hero beats the devil. Not make deals with him. Either way, I checked out the story and think it really sucks.
I guess they don't make writers like they used to.

I love Spider-Man and I always will. I shouldn't have to settle for crap just because I'm a fan, though.

What's happening in the comics now just isn't Spider-Man to me.

I've stopped reading since Civil War, to be honest. I can always go back and read the older comics, so I'm not really heartbroken over it.

you all need to seriously cut the whining.....BND has been so refreshing...I've read 8 issues and have only had to see Aunt May 3 or 4 times....the stories are about Spider-Man again, not the moody adventures of Pete and MJ with guest star Spider-Man....new villains, new characters and the fact that all the internet nerds are now the subjects of jokes around the Marvel offices should be a hint....I'm happy MJ isn't around....the stories flow nicely without jumping out to "let's see how moody MJ is being today" crap....this is the first time I've been buying ASM regularly since before the Clone Saga

I haven't paid money for a single issue of ASM since BND started. Been Byrne-Stealing it to find out what's been going on. Outside of Wells arc, I haven't cared about any of it. I've gone with out buying ASM in the past and I can very well do it again. Tons of other Spidey books for me to get my Spidey fix.

I've had enough with these absurd storylines. The character is lost. Thank god for back issues.

I think a lot of the discontent runs deeper....Spider-Man/Pete have a certain relatability with comic fans...and MJ was tied into that....if someone like Pete can grab a hottie like MJ, then there is hope that I can too.....that has been taken away, thus inducing nerd rage...just a theory

I for one already AM married....so can't relate to dealing with the devil in GENERAL at all...but especially can't relate to dealing my marriage and wife to the devil for my elderly aunt, which i also have (and love.)

And this whole new world and altered continuity that it has spawned...blech!
