Love Walt not giving two ****s about the money and just shooting Jack as soon as he tries to use it as leverage.

Well...There was Badger and Skinny Pete. That was great.

That part after he shoots him, the blood on the camera. Perfect.

Skinny Pete and Badger... I was positive we had seen the last of them. Their scene was just delicious. It's the small things about this show.

Still amazed at how the writer's juggling of Walter played out. I mean, the levels of emotions that I went though. I loved him, hated him, learned to hate him even more, and then finally understood him at the end.

"I liked it." That scene with Skylar was the best for me. It'sss.... ah, words will fail me. I just need to bask in this right now. Beautiful.

God that was great. Perfect ending is perfect! Did anyone else notice when he stole that car in the beginning on the key chain was a white narcotics anonymous key chain. It's those little things that make this show so great

I really thought there was no way that the final reason Walt bought the M60 was not only for the Nazis, but for Jesse also. I figured there was no way they would reconcile, and they didn't, although Walt redeemed himself.

I'm gonna need a gif of Walt in the shadows at the Schwartz residence. Might be my favorite shot of the series.

Oh Jesus, I didn't give this episode 10/10 so here comes the sardonic freak to jump me. Roll your eyes all you want, jerk. You don't even know what pleasant means. I'm not even going to bother debating the finale here, because I know how this thread is if you dont love every minute of each episode.

Hahaha Jesus relax. Not everyone has to love it. I don't know what pleasant means? Ok buddy. I don't see anything pleasant though about all the things I listed. So I'm curious as to what your definition of pleasant is. And what was so pleasant about this episode.

Walt died protecting Jesse.

Goodnight, sweet prince...

If there is one thing I love about the ending it is that. Not only did he die protecting Jesse, where he died protected Jesse. He went to the meth lab. In the police's eyes, Walt was cooking for the Nazis. Jesse is in the clear. Of course, that raises several questions:

1) Was it Walt's first truly selfless act for Jesse or was it the final selfless act of many?

2) Was it a selfless act at all? Was it about protecting Jesse or preserving the legacy of Heisenberg? Walt was bitter in the car when Badger told him that Jesse was cooking better blue Meth than Walt. Walt's death could be viewed as a way to take credit for the blue meth, solely. No Jesse usurping his throne. Just Walter, Heisenberg, claiming what is his. It isn't like Grey Mater. He isn't sharing with anyone this time nor will anyone steal it from him. It is his legacy alone.

The more I peel back the layers of the finale, the more that I like it.

Okay.....

Walt went out like a boss. He went out on his own terms and died amongst his finest work. Perfect. Not to mention, Baby Blue by Badfinger. Ugh!

This thread has a completely different reaction to the finale than the Dexter thread. Lol

I gotta say, I'm a bit disappointed.

I don't mind that the only real closure came from Walt's story. It has always been Walt's story. It is fitting that the closure belongs to Walt. My disappointment comes from how cliche Walt's ending is. Creating a greater evil in the form of Nazis, just to give him some redemption...meh. I almost feel like last week's premise was a more fitting end for Walter White. There was nothing special about him. He was just a monster and died alone in a cabin...I feel like that would've been a much more fitting ending for Walter.
I've noticed that you don't like anything.

ugh...I think I need to see this episode again tomorrow. Everyone seems to think its perfect and I feel like it is such a letdown. I just don't get it. Part of me feels, that season 4's ending would've made a better series finale if the writers had written that episode with that intent.
One of the things I thought should've been handled differently was Walt's death. Its actually a great scene but why on Earth did they put that song in the background? It kind of pulls you away from the scene.

Your second point is absolutely on point. For Walter, it's all of the above. Good thoughts.

i got a little emotional at the end :(

goodbye breaking bad. you were the best show ever made including the premium channel stuff

It was about protecting his legacy and getting payback on the Nazi's and Jesse, but after seeing what they had done to Jesse, it became about protecting Jesse as well.

If Walt really hated Jesse, he would've let him die too.

Hell, Walt only got shot because he threw Jesse to the ground.
