Kane, you taking gif requests?
Why? I figured some would have that reaction but I don't understand it.
I can't read your blackout text on my tablet, can you just post it? And while you're at it, explain to me why Jesse is so likeable to a lot of people here.
I gotta say, I'm a bit disappointed.
I don't mind that the only real closure came from Walt's story. It has always been Walt's story. It is fitting that the closure belongs to Walt. My disappointment comes from how cliche Walt's ending is. Creating a greater evil in the form of Nazis, just to give him some redemption...meh. I almost feel like last week's premise was a more fitting end for Walter White. There was nothing special about him. He was just a monster and died alone in a cabin...I feel like that would've been a much more fitting ending for Walter.
Agreed on every point. Walt dying alone with nothing but his money would have been a much finer ending than that. I liked it sure enough, but ultimately it was far too much like early Breaking Bad and less of a character examination and examination everything he has wrought than previous episodes.
I was cringing when everything went off without a hitch.
That's a good point, but I think it's the universe tends to give Walt a hand when needed, like even earlier in the episode when the car he stole had the keys in them already, or any of the times he's managed to escape death. I think it just shows how lucky Walt freakin' is.
I love that Jack and Hank pretty much died the same way, in mid-sentence. However, Jack died bargaining for his life while Hank died accepting his fate with dignity. I love all the parallels that exist in this show.
Would it be too much if Walt had said "I made up my mind 10 mins ago" before he killed Jack?

Thanks for this. I get where you're coming from. It's not that Jessie was so likable, he was an f-up and caused a lot of heartache. But he was clueless and endlessly manipulated by Walt. So, to me, he became kind of a sympathetic loser. I am glad he was spared in the end.
He was just a messed up kid who was drawn in and from the very beginning imprisoned by Walt to this messed up enterprise.

Walter dying in the Meth-Lab. Brilliant. I mean that guy was created in a lab. The lab was his home. He was free in in the lab. It was something he created. His empire. People believing he cooked till the bitter end, is something that Walter wanted. He died in peace.
Brilliant, Vince. Just brilliant.
Except this was the finale and, while it's true that Walt was very lucky in some earlier instances on the series (all plausible tho), ending the show on such a lucky coincidence felt a bit of a copout to what could have been a betterly crafted string of events that doesn't involve such a big gamble on Walt's part. Also, in a different note, it didn't help that, when he talked with Lydia on the phone, it felt more like the writers wrapping up a dangling plot string with a line of dialogue than the actual craft we're used to see in BB.
Personally, I'd find it a really ironic/interesting ending if Walt actually lived through all of that shootout unscathed only to have the cancer kill him in those last moments![]()
Oh Jesus, I didn't give this episode 10/10 so here comes the sardonic freak to jump me. Roll your eyes all you want, jerk. You don't even know what pleasant means. I'm not even going to bother debating the finale here, because I know how this thread is if you dont love every minute of each episode.
